Why so quickly after bump limit m8?
>>

Except most aren't shit.

Most are passable episodes (Christmas Invasion, Runaway Bride, etc)

Some are episodes clearly a lot of effort was put into it, with some hailing them as really good, and others not being fans (Last Christmas, Time of the Doctor)

One is universally regarded as brilliant (A Christmas Carol)

And some - a minority - are flat-out shit (Wardrobe, Voyage)

Overall it's literally the exact same track of quality as normal episodes. Mostly fine, some great, some controversial, a few shit.

Want to be a part of /who/ secret santa? Heres how!

Step 1: Set up an amazon account
Step 2: If you don't want people to know your full name go to My Account > Personalization > Your public Profile to change your name to something less tracky.
Step 3: Make a public wish list of stuff you want Also make sure you add an address or your not getting shit. Go to List Actions > Update List Profiles. Enable 3rd party to get things from amazon sellers(and save a nice gifter a few bucks)
Step 4: You post your list with everybody elses
Step 5:???
Step 6: Profit!

Don't worry if you can't gift back, thats not what this is about.

So, where did we get on the Doctor being the hybrid? Any sort of general consensus?

Probably half-human.

Also likely it's left vague.

Unlikely that it's too convoluted, like it being "Me" not me.

Yeah, I am kind of hoping Me was just a red herring.
I'm half hoping he's lying about himself, too. Just trying to get the Time Lords worked up so execute some masterstroke plan. There not being any hybrid would be hilarious, a nice little twist from the norm where any visual media that references prophecy is concerned.
Although another possibility that occurred to me was Time Lady Clara who helped the first Doctor pick his Tardis. She's...well, one could make the case that she's neither human, nor Time Lord, but a little of both in essence, even if not in genetics.

>You've said before you see the Doctor and Clara's relationship as platonic, but some of the writers, [showrunner] Stephen Moffat especially, have said quite the opposite, that there's a romantic entanglement there. How do you approach that kind of creative difference?

>Well, I always feel one of the key things about The Doctor is that he's not human. So to constantly weigh up how he conducts himself in human terms is not quite accurate. But we tend not to -- We disagree very little. And what you know, you can hold an opinion. The material is so robust that we can both disagree and both be satisfied on what we do.

>The thing about acting is the lines are one thing, and then there's always spaces in between the lines, which is where a lot of the acting goes on. So an actor has to be constantly in flux, has to constantly be changing. So it's good that we have different ideas. It's about how it should be. Because if it was just my ideas, it would be dumb. So it's the combination of lots of different ideas that make it better.

The Doctor reveals the Hybrid is the Cyber Brig. Missy then comes out of “the barn” (actually her TARDIS). She reveals she is pregnant – she has shagged Davros. Her child is revealed to be… The Doctor! He can’t cope with this revelation, so plays his guitar. An Ood comes along and sings to him (no one knows why but it makes the scene more “emotional”). Just as Missy is about to kill her “son” the Cyber Brig suddenly arrives – it has taken him two billion years to fly to Gallifrey. He shoots Missy and she regenerates into… Rose. This confuses The Doctor. Me then appears and says she is the Nightmare Child. She singlehandedly starts to burn Gallifrey to the ground. The Doctor looks suitably angry / agonised / wistful / frowny (delete as appropriate) and then saves Gallifrey by turning his guitar into a sonic something and playing. The music renders Me unconscious, the Cyber Brig locks her up to share a cell with a rather old and bored Morgaine, and Rose smiles and says she will always love him. The Doctor puts on his specs, raises his hoody and goes “Who’s da man?!”

Series 10 will have an experimental episode featuring only Capaldi. In it the Doctor sits alone in a darkened room getting drunk while watching low-grade pornography on a stolen laptop. He talks to himself throughout in an increasingly rambling, self-hating and foul-mouthed manner - slipping in a lot of fan-pleasing continuity references and eventually revealing a dark secret that will change everything. Forever.

He has a chance to not be a one off showing Doctor and expand his character, which let's be honest, for as important as he is what we saw in TotD was very poor. Maybe not, but that was 1. the 50th Anniversary, instead of just an ordinary season finale, and 2. This is Eccleston we're talking about, he's not coming back any time soon. We'll be lucky if he changes his mind soon enough be the curator for the 75th or something.

yeah I guess so. Although I'm not expecting Chris to return to the role ever. From what I have seen and read about him in interviews and what -not, he doesn't seem the type of actor and person to go back on what he says. When he says he is done, I believe him. Moffat on getting Eccleston for the 50th:

>"I knew that Chris was almost certainly going to say no. I met him a couple of times and he was absolutely lovely. He met with me because he didn’t want to say no through his agent or a phone call or email. He wanted to do it personally. And I three-quarters talked him into it."
"So I started a version of it but I got to a point where I could go no further unless it was going to be him. I went for another meeting with him and he decided no. His reasons are his business and he’s a very private man. But it’s reasonable to say he really cares about Doctor Who. He’s well versed in what’s happened since he left, and happily chatted away about Amy Pond by name. "
>“I sort of knew that he wouldn’t. I know Chris a bit. I did a couple of meetings, and there was a moment, I suppose, a giddy moment where [I thought] ‘Would he actually do it?’ This wasn’t the kind of decision he took in a funk or that he was cross. He was very measured, very kind, very gentlemanly about it. He’s a good bloke. If you look at Chris’s career, this is not what he does. The Ninth Doctor turns up for the battle and not the party."

I have read that multiple times but it still doesn't convince me about Chris and we also can't really tell how much of a spin Steven was putting on it (for all we know he could be a terrible judge of character.) I base my opinion on all the sources available. Evaluate them on their authenticity and reliability. Then scale them. Then find the average outcome for my final opinion.

I like many want to hope and dream (for the sake of awesomeness and continuity) but I have no time for Eccles.

The thing you guys are forgetting is that when he's doing interviews, he'd rather talk about the actual thing he's promoting. It's frustrating as fuck when they'd rather talk about something he did a decade ago, then what's he's trying to actually currently make a living off of.

I am not forgetting that. I can see what and why he holds himself as he does but he also has to accept the interviewers are going to ask what ever questions they want. He can always get his agent to review the questions before the interview or have a contract written up requesting the interviewer not to mention anything about Who. He should just remain professional and wade through the idiot media. He is not the first or the last or even the most popular or important actor to be plagued with this situation.

Apparently the Beeb are in possession of some paint with reality-altering properties to it, then. All three types of robot suit are pretty different from each other. The SJA automata are slender, while the Mitchell and Webb bots are bulky as fuck, but this new one goes above and beyond and looks like something out of W40k. There are some similarities to the M&W bots, so I guess they used one of the suits as the base and stuck new stuff to it, but it's not exactly like they're trying to ruse us the with orange space suit again.
>>
so this exists:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-hn5FEqw7g
>>
>>63338253
There is no apparent similarities between M&W bots, but it really looks like buildup on SJA-bots. Probably have the same propmaker or reusing the same material.
>>
>>63338107
I mean, it's rather obvious they used the Dinosaurs on a Spaceship suits as a basis for this one, it's literally the same built, but they altered/added enough stuff to make it seem suitably new again.

>>63338294
