The real biggest turd in movies isn't capeshit, it's the death of the movie star. People used to go see movies just because a certain actor or actress was in it. While this lead to a lot of garbage, it did lead to many fantastic off the wall ambitious films being produced and very successful because of who it starred. Capeshit replaced just another form of garbage for popcorn eating retards, but the real shame is brand names being more alluring than actor's names. Sure Tom Cruise is an arguable exception, but Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow were modest successes at best.
