Jaime is Azor Ahai / The lord of light.
His story draws influence from the one handed norse god Tyr, King Mydas, King Arthur and King James.
He and Cercei are obviously the children of the mad king. They've established he was an abuser and a rapist, his comments on the right of the first night at Tywin and Joannas wedding and the apparent 'liberties' he took on said wedding night. I believe the comment of liberties was to soften what ser Barristen was telling to dany. To not flat out say he was a rapist, though the story clearly establishes that.
The twins are the two sides of the coin the gods flip when siring a Targaryen. One for glory the other for madness.
Cercei the mad queen, joffrey the mad king.
Now getting to Tyr. Tyr is the one handed norse god who lost his hand when binding the winged wolf of ragnarok ( brandon ) the wolf who's been promised to fly by the raven.
King James obviously Jaime is a nickname for James.
King Mydas had the gold touch, then later called the Mydas touch. This is a reference to Jaimes golden hand.
Now King Arthurs influence. Ser Arthur Dayne is one who Jaime holds in such high regard and see's him as the best of the best, he'd love to be like him and the possibility is there also. He's never wanted to be king, he's never wanted the rock all he wanted was to be the best. Be the next Arthur.
Jaimes father the mad king knew Jaime was his son, so to prevent Tywin from obtaining the dragon rider gene he kept his bastard son close. So close he named him the youngest of the kings guard. Literally the order of the best knights across the realm. He was then trained by arthur after becoming apart of the order.

King Arthur from mythology was son of the head of the dragon ( uther 'pendragon' ) a red comet came the night he was conceived, Arthurs father was glamoured by a witch and slept with his enemies wife siring King arthur.
So the mystery conception is there.

>wrap up

King Arthur was involved in a love triangle with Queen Gwen and Sir Lancelot. Just as Jaime was involved in a love triangle with Queen Cercei ( incest an obvious targaryen family trait ) and his cousin ser lancel ( sir lancelot )

Another interesting thing to note is the error in translation that occurred in reference to the words lord and light in high valyrian.

The word for lord and light and Gold Hand are almost identical words in high valyrian with a two letter difference.

Gold Hand = āeksion ondos
Lord Light = āeksio ōños

Now for the ironies.

Jaimes contemplation over placing Aegon and Rhaenys ( the grandchildren of aerys ) on the throne came to the conclusion to not do so due to Aerys madness.

Ironically he places Joffrey and Tommon two of the mad kings Grand children on the throne anyway.

Cercei and her children who ned saw as usurpers had more of a right to sit on the throne then king robert.

When commanded to bring kill his father, Jaime did exactly that and killed his father Aerys.

This has Tyrion and Jaime both King slayers and both Kinslayers.

Shaved head Jaime and Brienne also parallel Ser Duncan the tall and Egg. The shaved Targaryen in secret and one of Ser Duncans last living descendants Brienne.

I'm sure there is more one could find but what I've picked up on so far.

And Bran will summon an ice dragons from the remnants of the last dragon 'winter' from the winterfell gods woods magical ice pool. Asha tries to swim down to find the bottom but can't.

Winterfell is built on hot springs but has a single magical ice pool. Ice dragons like the walkers melt when they die.

Winterfell is where the last azor ahai slew winter.

Winter is an ice dragon hence winterfell and the starks being the 'kings of winter'.
>>
>>71795291
The three heads of the dragon will be the contending military forces lead by a fire dragon, a sea dragon and an ice dragon.

Ice dragon is why Jon snow being of the north and son of Rhaegar would make him it's rider.

Honestly I hope Sansa slays betrays Jon and Bran resulting in their deaths and they return. A vengeful knights king Jon and his ice dragon controlled by bran.

Just as mirri maz dur used a warg transference spell to place drogo in drogon. Her spell was sung, had shadows dancing on the walls going from man, to wolf, to man.

I see the same thing happening to bran.

Also if you download the pdf to a game of thrones, go to page 111 you can read Brans tower fall dream and conversation with the three eyed raven.

He gains strange wings, surrounded by grey mists ( what ice dragons breathe ) and literally goes past the lands of always winter, beyond the curtain of light and into the heart of true darkness.
A fire dragon would die trying to go on such a journey, and only an ice dragon could survive such a trek.

Also you have an army of icicle spears that embrace him beneath him hinting at an alliance with the white walkers.

Thers clearly a dragon in the wall. The drippings taste of salt water and there is a folklore tale of a wildling or nw brother who tried to dig his way through. Instead of killing him they sealed him inside.
They say you can still hear him digging away if you press your ear to the wall. This is the scratching of the sea dragon.

Also melting the wall would create a sea of salt water. A great defence in slowing down the army of the dead. The salt water isn't just to preserve the sea dragon but also a last line of defence against the forces of the others.

>>
>>71796132
Agreed. They really push the villain aspect during the beginning of the story with pushing Bran from the window and fucking his sister. But I see that as one of his greater aspects. Ned Stark chose the death and eradication of his family for the sake of his honour and reputation. Jaime clearly is the polar opposite of that. He'll do what is truly necessary to keep himself and those he loves alive. And as Brienne commented as to why would he not tell anyone the intention behind killing Aerys. He takes it and bears it. He isn't galavanting, pushing such a feat into the faces of others. They call him kingslayer and he just simply bears the weight of it.
He's the King I support.

>you could say the same for all the teleporters in season 6.

Not really. In the books it's a plot-point that Ned and co take a long time going south because they're travelling along the Kingsroad with a large retinue, and so Catelyn can actually outpace them/catch up by taking a ship, and also disguise her coming to King's Landing this way. The dude travelling with her even has to shave his awesome muttonchops off to commit to the disguise. There's none of that with people's travels now. It's just a matter of convenience for the writers or really badly portrayed time-lapses between scenes/episodes.

Cersei is a shit character in the books, she's a shit character in the series as well. There is absolutely nothing likable about her - she's stupid and arrogant,
yet thinks she's as smart as Tywin.Everything Cersei did only weakened the Lannisters and the Kingdom. She says she only cares about her children yet she's too stupid to realize she's the one that killed them.
>>
>>71796400
Sansa is a women. She can whinge, bitch and whine but she'll never be a true leader on the front line leading those on the field of battle. She'll never spill blood and run the risk of dying amongst those by her side as equals.

You'd never have Sansa charge alone on the battlefield in front of a force so large they outnumber you 20 to 1 just to save her kin.

Instead she was as far from the battle as she could be. And what happens after she takes a mate and weds? she forsakes her family to join anew.

To those with common sense. A perceived bastard of ned stark is the obvious choice. At the end of the day Sansa's just a women. And she is NOTHING like Nymeria of Dorne.

My personal belief is that the Starks helped broker the original pact with the Others, that or they have some sort of tie to them through as-yet-to-be-discovered magic. They spend so much time emphasizing the story of Dany when it's just a long red-herring from S2-5. I'd rather watch a show more like S1 or 4 where it was unexpected (not only for the casual viewers but also for the /tv/ and book autists). Where did it go so wrong ?

>"Maester Pycelle, instruct these Lords Declarant that no harm must come to Petyr. Elsewise, the crown is content with whatever dispositions they might make for the governance of the Vale during Robert Arryn's minority."

and jaime thinks he's a nice guy who's as friendly as he is clever and says he would be the perfect hand of the king for tommen. kek.

Jaime Lannister is the main hero of the story and Bran is the main villain. Jaime is inspired by Julius Caesar, and Zeus from Disney's Hercules, as well as Titus Andronicus, Malcolm Merlyn, Gloria Estefan and the Pinball Wizard. Bran, having no legs, is symbolic of Pluto, Ariana Grande, George Washington Carver, and Satan. The removal of Jaime's hand is symbolic of the "Cesarean Section" (NissaNissa rhymes with Pizza Pizza, Caesar's most famous quote), which is typically used to remove a child from the womb, much like Jaime removed a child (Bran) from a window. He gives his flaming sword to Brienne, and will have to also take it back from her, completing the lightbringer prophecy. Bran is the Great Other, as evidenced by nothing in particular, and is Jaime's great rival from the very beginning of the story. Bran's name, (Brandon Stark) begins with the letter B, and he lives in a place that is cold, and cold is usually associated with he color BLUE. Jaime's name (Jaime Lannister) ends with the letter R, and his house colors are RED. A Game of Thrones was published in 1996, the same year Nintendo released Pokemon Red and Blue for the Gameboy. This indicates that Jaime (Red) will have to travel across the land to eight castles and defeat their lords, and then travel farther north than he has ever traveled before to defeat his rival Bran (Blue) to become the Pokemon League Champion (Azor Ahai, CHAMPION of the Lord of Light).

>The word for lord and light and Gold Hand are almost identical words in high valyrian with a two letter difference.

That's admittedly quite neat, but it doesn't make a lick of sense. Azor Ahai and R'Hllor are not the same entity. I could buy, dubiously, that Jaime is Azor Ahai, but not the Lord of Light himself. Are you implying that they flubbed R'Hllor's title when translating it from valyrian into the common tongue, because that really doesn't make any sense. There's just a metric fuck-tonne of evidence to suggest that R'Hllor's title is "Lord of Light" and not "Golden Hand" The theme of the religion itself revolves around fire and daylight and eradicating darkness, not gold or hands or anything like that.

You make it seem like the followers of the religion were translating R'Hllor's words into their own tongue. Like, they thought he said "Lord of Light" and just ran with it or something. Valyrian was their language. They didn't translate shit. It would be the people that converted the High Valyrian into the common tongue that made the error, but those people didn't make up the actual rules and beliefs of the religion.

It was a shit lazy shock value plot device for Cersei, a character who should already be disgraced and established as insane. It's another example of poor writing handing a situation to a character who should have to at least spend some effort for achievement and success. When it comes at no cost it's bullshit just for the convenience of the writers to advance their story.

It served no purpose other than to cut story content from KL and leave it as Cersei vs. [whomever].

It also makes no sense, since blowing up the Sept would just strengthen the resolve of the sparrows and their support. The sparrows aren't a phenomenon from King's Landing.

How can you fucking forget the scene where the Kettleblack is being tortured that leads into Cersei getting captured?

>>
>>71797768

I remember them using sleep deprivation techniques (specifically waking prisoners up once per hour to ask if they were ready to confess) but that's it with the exception of beating Osney Kettleblack. Which the High Sparrow doesn't seem to regard as torture because (and you just know he's being completely truthful about it) he welcomes being whipped as a means of getting closer to his god.

not that anon. They don't have actual torture chambers but when Ser Oswell came to confess his (false) crime of fucking Maergary HS thought he was way too enthusiastic and gave him to his fellow sparrow for a little painful interrogation,It was the reason Cersei was arrested Lancel never confessed to the HS in the books.
>>
>>71797917
>Was torture, starvation, imprisonment, humiliation and being dragged around the filthy streets naked not enough disgrace for you?

Evidently not, since until the last episode she was STILL being portrayed as a sympathetic character, she's had no struggle or cost whatsoever and she's been continually handed whatever the character in the story needs to advance the plot. Cersei is now as bad as fucking Dany in that regard, she was entirely used to cut loose content and stories without any fucking cost or controversy whatsoever. She's sat on the fucking throne at the end! Where is the logic???

>Those Sparrows truly are sadistic.

They're not, though, because they do it for their faith and not for pleasure or personal gratification. They may not be good people, but they're a very interesting aspect in ASOIAF to show a reaction and contrast against the state of the realm.

>Also it came at a cost of having the Reach rebel against her. There was barely any time for consequences in the last episode.

You mean consequences like her literally being gifted a situation and bomb to kill all of her enemies in one move without cost? Or consequences like her sat on the iron throne with no possible logic behind it with a loyal army in front of her?,

Cersei is the fucking Dany of Westeros.

It's been a long while since I read the books, I'd forgotten about the specifics of the leadup to Cersei's arrest.

I won't say the sparrow movement is good or can be considered perfectly fine but it itself is a reaction against the state of the world and society. It's abundantly clear that their motivation is purely that politics and society of the realm have been corrupted and immoral to their faith.

Actually Theon arguably isn't a sympathetic character until far into his torture when it becomes really sadistic. Don't forget that he betrayed the Starks, killed a maester and had innocent children murdered.

>Cersei being humbled and shamed in public and treated like a prisoner is a huge struggle

Yeah her losing her hair and being humiliated is really a huge cost - afterall, it meant that she ended up losing all respect and power and fell from grace in KL and the Red Keep, right?

Oh, wait, no it didn't. The Small Council ignored her and then she killed all of them with a meme and the rest of the Red Keep ended up loyal to her anyway.

She's a character whose plot last season only served to send the plot to where the writers wanted, she's been put in and given illogical and implausible situations and there's been no real cost for her actions. The only consequences for her actions over the entire show has been her arrest and walk, and she ended up being shown sympathetically and given revenge for it! Revenge for her justice, how the fuck is that meant to make sense?

You keep using that word but it doesn't make sense in what we're talking about. There's no evidence at all that the sparrows had sadistic motives in their treatment of heresy or prisoners.

Theon was treated sadistically; Cersei was not.

>Yes, it did, not to mention losing her three children, father and brother-lover.

And they're all her own fault by varying degrees, those aren't acted upon her.

>You have a twisted sense of justice, truly. And it's realistic that she'd seek revenge. They drove her into extreme solutions like using wildfire. It makes a lot of sense.

What the fuck are you even talking about? Is this just shitposting? They drove her to using wildfire?

The Maesters are wiping out magic. Dragons, Giants, Grumps and Snarkins, Children of the Forest. They've got no place in the world of science.
