I watched that video only to see what the deal was. It was fucking nothing. The only somewhat nitpicky thing he does is complain about the title for a minute or two. He didn't have a crybaby pissfit. He said he wasn't going to see a movie and he explained why. He didn't even use the "muh childhood" bullshit excuse and even admitted that, against his expectations, the movie might even turn out good.
The video was to address his regular commentators, which he mentions early on. They would expect a review and keep asking for one unless he gave some kind of official explanation why not. The only reason this has blown up so much is because the media, which peddles in simple one-sentence clickbait narratives, took it, misrepresented it, and ran with it. You're being manipulated by shallow corporate stooges, you prick.

He calmly and respectfully explained to his audience why he isn't going to watch and review the movie. The only reason why he even made that video was because he's a huge ghostbusters fan and apparently lots of people have been messaging him about the reboot, so he just wanted to let them know that they shouldn't expect a review.
