Why are videogame graphics getting better than movie graphics?
nerd priorities

Just wait until developers get major complaints about games being too hard. Then they'll start focusing on story instead of gameplay.
Wait long enough and you can just buy a $60 movie from ubisoft or EA or Bethesda

in games graphics are the whole visual experience, what you see (the quality) is unchaining.
but in films that use extensive CGI, that use real actors in fake sets or CG creatures, you can tell whats fake and whats real. The human brain is amazing at picking up things that dont look right.
In battlefront dice used the same technique used in the vanishing of Ethan carter to texture environments and models called photogrammetry.
Look it up its a bit complicated but its basically taking hundreds of high quality pictures on an object then running it through a program.

Like two people will be able to make that game look like that since it would require a $10000 PC to run it.

They will eventually equal reality but that's highly unlikely a desirable achievement.

Why the fuck would I pay $60 for a movie?
Besides, aren't they already coming out with a first-person movie soon? It looked something like COD.

>equal reality
That's pleb shit. When are we going to get around to making graphics look better than real life?

>static screenshot
fucking /v/ kids with their mods
playing that game with "enhanced" graphics probably looks like every other game in the last 10 years

>Paying $60 for the newest "game" from ubisoft
>make minor decisions that move the story along, but ultimately there's no real gameplay aside from wandering around the world looking for clues to help progress the story
Not an actually movie, but it might as well be

SonyponiesSince PS4 HAS NO GAMES
>>63027405
Because there's more money in it.
Think about how much some nerd pays for a game, and all the other dumb shit like DLC. Now compare that to one movie ticket, or even 4 for a whole family

finally, videogames have become art!

>movie graphics
Are you retarded
that's literally battlefront with a shitty sharpening filter. good job
>>63027840
>it's not about the gameplay
>it's about the experience

Already do. Disable depth of field and you can see things up close as perfectly as distant objects.

that happened almost a decade ago
