He really oversaturated everything with extra filters for some "extra sci-fi feel", but pretty much all locations were either sets (like Maul duel rooms) or miniatures (like Mustafar, Kamino and the Tatooine arena) that were later inserted through blue/green screen. Heck, he's been doing it since the Endor scenes in VI, causing Carrie Fisher to complain about how hard it is to act in front of the screen.

It's never good to get this info from the media because they have a very skewed view on how a film production works and will twist sayings to their benefit. "Re-shoots" and "pick-ups" are fundamentally different things that are for whatever reason often bunched together in a press release to insinuate something negative. If it's only pick-ups that they're shooting to cover gaps in editing or improve on scenes then it's nothing major. An actual re-shoot involves changing the script.
