all of season 3 for a starter.

season 3 was a slow burn compared to the rest.

it had best waifus anyway
>>
>>62723393
slow burn?

It utterly destroyed the characterization built up over the past 2 seasons.

Take Claire for instance, she goes from a headstrong devotee to both her and her husbands ambitions, with the single bump in the road being the photographer, who she drops.

In season 3, and especially in the episode concerning the faggot in russia, there was WAY too much emotional outburst from her character to match anything in the prior 2 seasons, and on top of that she bothers Frank endlessly to give her favors which had never happened in the first 2 seasons.

The whole faggot in russia ordeal has ruined that show for me, I can't believe that shit got past quality control.
>>
For me, the problem was Frank. He had been exceptionally crafty up until this point. In S3 on 3 separate occasions he said
>Do what I say, or else!
and it blew up in his face every time.
>>
>>62723341
Pussy Riot
>>
Not enough Putin.

Also Frank should've divorced Claire's ass when she fucked it up for that faggot.
>>
>>62723458
that's kind of the point. If the show is to have any morality whatsoever it has to undo the power that Frank wields.

The show is called House of Cards™ after all. At some point the cards have to fall:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=house+of+cards
>>
>>62723341

they started to pander to the female audience because they noticed a lot of females watch the show because of claire

so they made claire into an empowered woman who demands shit from her husband constantly and they made frank a bitter grumpy loser guy to match the new situation

and predictably it ended with a "I want a divorce!"

I bet all the postmenopausal women watching this got all teary-eyed and started clapping uncontrollably to that
>>
>>62723341
Names on wrong sides of poster.
>>
>>62723611
What?

You cannot justify poor writing and hamfisted political bias into a show about political intrigue.

The point of the show is to give a viewer a fairly accurate portrayal of backdoor politics, of course you COULD have used the pussyriot and faggot thing for this purpose, but the method in which they used them was horrible.

>>62723627
>le SJW conspiracy meme
wew lad. try talking to a woman once in awhile.
>>
>>62723628
Why is this so common?

Must be a hollywood meme.
>>
It will end in Claire and Frank going head to head for the presidency. The outcome will be one of these

>Claire wins
>Both die
>Claire wins and Frank falls into her shadow, reversing their dynamic
This last option has two options of its own
>Frank has a direct address last laugh
>Claire uses direct address, truly keking Frank once and for all
>>
I feel like each season would have been better with fewer episodes. It needs to be tighter.
>>
>>62723341
the destruction of the female character for one

Seriously season 3 was fkn atrocious.
>>
>>62723647
it's a show about power and the lengths Frank goes to to get it, involving y'know, murder?

If you don't think this is a morality play you clearly don't get it. And you clearly aren't familiar with Spacey's career obsessions, like Richard III which he has performed and even made a movie about.

And you also clearly didn't understand the gay college buddy and photographer episodes, which show you how happy they function without each other in pursuit of "true" love, and not just power.
>>
>>62723707
Disgusting, realistically Claire would have no future political career after the UN debacle, losing domestic support and her husbands support.

If Frank doesn't do something radical and gain more support or at least force his party's hand for next election, then theres no point in even watching the show.
>>
Simple. Season one and two were directly (copied) based on the british tv series. Season three was all their own work.
>>
>>62723760
he won the election in the last episode. I thought it was gonna be a cliffhangar too but nope.

>wanted to stick it to the russians and failed.
>>
>>62723755
You really have no idea what I'm talking about.

I'm not saying anything about morality at all.

I'm saying that the usage of the plot devices like the faggot in russia, Claire's angst at being the support role, the failure of Frank's ambitions, pussyriot, etc are all very poorly used from the point of view of the writers.

They were rushed, there was virtually 0 depth to any actions Claire and Frank did in these episodes as they almost felt like puppets.

Again, I am not talking from the point of view of the plot, I am talking about how these plot devices were used by the writers.

The show became too successful; HoC has become a cash cow for Netflix.
The story is only designed for three seasons (1 & 2 the rise and 3 the downfall). But because of its success the show is getting stretched out until numbers start to drop significantly.

The first 2 seasons are a remake of a Britbong show and they took all the major plot points from it.
The 3rd season was entirely original and the americ
>>
>>62723341
it moved forward too quickly
S1 ended with him becoming VP and S2 ended with him becoming President and then they had no real interesting direction to go
>>
>>62724982
That's why season three should have just been his complete downfall. But instead they compromised all that to milk that cow dry and then some.
>>
S3 should've been the last season. It was filled with retarded shit like the whole Doug thing and the faggot writer.
>>
ITT: plebs who haven't already seen the original series. Also, Claire has Frank assassinated by a member of his own secret service.
>>
>>62726093

Doug is the worst fucking thing of the show, I can't believe they killed the girl and kept this faggot alive
>>
>>62726102
>a member of his own secret service

they better not fuck this up
>>

if they make it like the original series, season 4 should be the final season and end with Frank being re-elected as President

The Brit version was the shit if you could get past the faggotty intro music. Urquhart was arguably more evil than Underwood.

Not enough Rachel Brosnahan in season 3

I believe 4 seasons makes more sense.

deck of cards has 52
a season of HoC has 13
52/13=4

I love how Claire's intentions of fighting for gays is so hypocritical and hollow when she offers to lend money to some African country to keep the contract with petrov alive
>prez:you do know that this country is ruled by a dictator who kills homos by the dozens, right?
Such a fucking failure of a storyline.
I was with HOC up to that point. Everything downhill from there.

S3 should have been Frank being manipulative and cunning and getting away with it, followed by an S4 where Frank's manipulativeness and cunning backfire on him in spectacular fashion

Instead S3 is Frank being dumb and obvious and hamfisted followed by an S4 where ???

it was a tiny bit heavy-handed, on the other hand you can't get any more degenerate than Netflix, Pussy Riot feel right at home in Hollywood.
