Problem is that Hollywood creates the opportunities for people to call it racist. Asians used to have Jackie Chan and Lucy Lui and shit they don't even really have LL anymore. So the number of asian stars is pretty low because studios don't think that they're marketable, because there aren't any major asian stars, because studios dont think they're marketable and round and round it goes. They had an actual chance to give people something a bit different but they're just gonna make the next Dragonball Evolution. This is going to be garbage. Any of the vaguely existential or philosophical themes in the movie/show(s) will be jettisoned for Hollywood action movie bluster and phoned-in exposition.
