wtf was this dude's plan
>"i'm gonna throw a grenade at him even though he's like eight feet away i'm sure the shrapnel and concussive blast won't harm me in any way"

Anyone else seen the pilot/first episode?
How did you like it?
I thought it was pretty good with a great atmosphere, plus Turturro looks interesting in it
however I would have loved to see what Gandolfini would have been like
it was also good to see Bodie
Definitely fills the "gritty crime drama" void that True Detective left. I like the way it's shot, the pacing and the dialogue.
Episode 1 accomplished its one goal- hook me in. I want to see how this pans out.
I'm thinking it wasn't the black guy that gave the long stare at Nas and Andrea outside of her place, but he definitely let someone know about her. The way she acts once she's in the car for the first time- she knows she's going to die that night.
Yeah the way Bodie lied about being alone that night when he talked shit to Nas is curious.
>He puts all three LotR movie in one spot in his top 10
THEYRE ONE CONTINUOUS STORY YOU FUCKING RETARD THEY COUNT AS ONE FILM
How do you go from this...
>pilot to end of s3
>he still hasn't told anyone he's defeated death
>his creations still have no clue about the biblical forces of darkness
I can't tell if I should be mad about this but I'm pretty fucking impressed
X-MEN 3 was better
Give me a sticky or i bash you.
At least one Tyrell got into Heaven before they all exploded.
The Wall = Hadrian's Wall
Wildlings = Celtic Tribes (Picts, Bretons, etc.)
Westernlands / Lannisters = English
The Reach / Tyrells = France
The North / Starks = Scotland
Dorne / Martell = Spain and Portugal
Stormlands / Stannis = Germany (Even has the whole Puritan thing going on)
Targaryen = Charlemagne Dynasty (Once united Europe)
Pentos = Greece
Braavos = Italy
Mereen = Babylon + Persia
Dothraki = Mongols
>shoehorning lazy ethno-historical templates onto an already arbitrarily-designed pastiche of Britain
>lighthearted and funny TV show
>side character suddenly dies and the whole episode is somber and it's the characters dealing with grief with literally no other story
Just watched for the first time. What's the big deal? People are defending this shit ironically right? This movie does NOT warrant the internets reaction to the remake.
I dont care at all about the original or the remake. I just hate how they try to use moral blackmail onto their prospective audience when their first trailer looked like shit: "if you don't like this you must be a misogynist". So that's why I hit the dislike button on yt. I suspect most of those dislikes come from people in the same situation.
Think about it. Movies with female leads like Kill Bill, Hunger Games, Mad Max didn't got that bad a response because they didn't look like complete shit. Even flops with female leads like Sucker Punch...

>and now I have become Kino, the destroyer of flicks
why does this young fat girl always have such a potty mouth in movies... is she trying to be like miley cyrus or something?
