>Early returns for By the Sea — a moody marital drama starring Angelina Jolie Pitt and Brad Pitt — is struggling badly in its limited North American debut, according to early Friday returns.
>Scathing reviews are no doubt hurting the film, written and directed by Jolie Pitt, in addition to starring. It's the first time the duo have appeared together on the big screen since Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. While that film was a major commercial play, By the Sea is a throwback to the art house movies of the 1970s.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Ouch.
Women cant make movies. The best movies in history are from men because they actually get shit done

Right, so this bit is exceptionally stupid.
The electrostaff used by Grievous' guards were stupid because lightsabers are supposed to be a mythical weapon that can cut through damn near anything. To have a weapon that can block them defeats the point.
HOWEVER, they made sense in a certain way due to the context in which they existed. Grievous' guards fought in a war where Jedi and lightsabers were prevalent. If a weapon to block them HAS to exist, it makes sense to have them be utilised in a situation where lightsabers are seen everywhere.
So why,...

It's Friday the 13th, /tv/.
That means it's time to watch one of the Friday the 13th movies. I personally recommend Part 4. It's easily the best/most rounded Ft13th films.
Or 2.
Let's get a stream going for the first movie!
>>62709231
But the first movie is shit to be honest family.
2 is my favorite, 4 is probably "the best" and 6 is also a strong contender.

Is Peanuts dead?
>>62708044
It was so fucking cute holy shit
I don't think it's dead, but I'd like it to stay standalone.
>>62708044
I went to see it with mygfand the theater was packed.
It was actually pretty great. I'm glad they didn't try to modernize it by making the characters cynical or anything. My only complaint was the overlong Red baron sequences. That shit lasted like twenty minutes and was pretty pointless
>>62708103
The sequences were fun, but I agree that they went on too long. They could've shaved a few minutes off of them and still managed to parallel the main plot like they were intending. My biggest issue was with the music. Didn't really match up to the classic jazz that is usually associated with Peanuts, except for Linus & Lucy, of course.
I just watched Apocalypse Now on /tv/'s recommendation and WOW is it one of the most overrated, boring films I've ever seen. Arguably Kubrick's weakest.
What other films has /tv/ lied to you about?
wait, you watched the whole film in a row?
>>62708028
>Watches a Kubrick film
>surprised to find out that it's overrated.
I've never once enjoyed a Kubrick film from beginning to end.
