Murder House > Freak Show > Asylum > Coven
About a week ago I made a thread seeking opinions on AHS after having watched Freak Show and liking it
now, having watched the series, I feel Murder House is objectively the best - best characters, best story; Freak Show is second best - still great characters, and some great ideas. It's the most fun season IMO, but I probably have some bias since it's the first season I watched. I found Asylum very meh - the characters felt less developed, and the story was okay, but nothing that exciting. I just didn't...

Really? I honestly know almost nothing about it, but everything I do know makes it seem like it'd be awful

Hey guys, i am searching for more movies with an open ending, a weird plot or an unexpected twist in the plot. Its easier to describe with examples, movies like;
sixth sense
shutter island
the game
vanilla sky
Identity
Do you have any suggestions?

Kind of defeats the purpose to name these kinds of movies don't you think? If you go in expecting an unexpected ending is it REALLY unexpected?

A lot of exploitation flicks. Once the novelty wears off, you're stuck with an hour of boredom.

Should there be a dialogue in Hollywood on guaranteeing roles for actresses over 25?
It's pretty depressing how they just get tossed to the wayside once they become a woman. Are men only interested in little girls?

No because there are too many outliers like drug addictions or plastic surgery that fuck up their appearance.

Okay I've just realised something about Big Trouble in Little China.
At the start of the movie Egg Shen uses a lightning trick between his hands. After watching Big Trouble many times over the last few decades it has finally dawned on me that he has actually taken his enemy Lightning's power.
I've come to this conclusion because during the movie, before and during Egg's fight with Lo Pan, egg always uses trinkets, totems and potions. He brags about how much the demon stones cost him. He uses the magic stone vs Lo Pans nails (Lo Pan doesn't...

nobody?
That would be cool, but the intro scene was added by the studios request. it wasn't in the original project.
>>62747853
>Or you could argue that Egg Chen is a great magician considering Lo Pan seems to have a long history with him that isn't fully explained.
This is the vibe that I got from the movie. But you theory is awesome so I might just go with it for kicks.
Why do I never see any film critic threads on here?
I bet most of you plebs never take the time to read any of these people's work before blabbing your gut reactions to all your friends or worse, shitposting here with your idon'tknowanything/10 scores.
Who are your favorite film critics and why, /tv/?
Who do you read most often? Who do you disagree with?
Not that he's my favorite, but I read Devin Faraci the most and it's fun to disagree with him sometimes. I think he may be the next Roger Ebert, a populist with a real understanding...

I agree. Though I thought the sex scene intertwined with the airport slaughter could have been done... differently. I get what he was going for but it just seemed over the top. Final shot of the Towers was perfect. An often overlooked masterpiece.
