Well, I've finally created something. It's the best I could do with the idea I was given: Illustrate the Hero's Journey in a video.
As always, post your work, pitch your ideas, and pretend any of us are gonna make it.
Which directors do you think best combine arthouse themes and scope with mainstream sensibilities? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I want to make something meaningful that can also connect with people who may not be into film as the rest of us. As much as I'd like to make Bergman style films, I don't think the majority would care. So I'm thinking about writing a genre film but one that strives to be more. Anyone know this feel?
Who will save the movie?
Why is this film so underrated? Is it really because of butthurt eurokeks whining about how their cheap, boring adaptation pales in comparison to the production values and quality of this one?
I thought it was fairly overrated. At least on this board. It perfect in terms of technical aspects and acting but it remains one of Fincher's least interesting movies to me. It's no surprise to me that a Fincher film is technically immaculate. I just wish he'd pick better material than plebeian page turner "plot" movies.
Can we have a minimalist poster thread? Thinking of hanging this one on my wall.
get better tastes in movies so you don't look like a redditor maybe, it's not that that movie is bad but the fact you like it so much and it would probably be one of your first movie posters is pathetic.
Did anyone else think Chilled Monkey Brains looked pretty tasty?
What's the most Russian movie out there?

>the monks all look and seem like weird freaks
>admitted by casting that they looked for "unique looks"
>grr greedy monks eating good while peasantry starves

I do love, though, that while the modernist idiot who made that...

What is next on his career?
He's going to play LBJ in a movie, but the directors shit. However he did recently win a Tony award for his LBJ portrayal so who knows. But right now he's still riding on his post Breaking Bad wave. Millennial hipsters will eat up anything he's in. Also gave a renewal in popularity for Malcolm In The Middle.
so what's tv's opinion on Louie? Like, the show.
So, was it just me or was the last episode pretty
I just wish they'd do Cornwell's Warlord Trilogy as a mini-series.
Personally I thought the whole
Uthred being enchanted by this random shadow queen to be completely unbelievable. Furthermore I couldn't believe how Uhtred was naieve enough to think he could speak to Alfred and not face the consequences of his crime. And what is with this whole duel to the death? This episode reeks of bad writing
is this true ?
Ryan Gosling is borderline JUST at the moment. I'd say if the Blade Runner sequel fails he's permenantly lost any credibility. All been downhill since he reached peaked meme actor status with Drive. Especially his aborted directorial career.
