**Knick Thread**
SPOILERS FROM TONIGHT
What was the general anaesthetic that Bertie used on Abigail? Ether? (doesn't seem like it would have that reaction with the laudanum as ether is often used in the creation of the stuff)
Did Abigail know she would have such a reaction? Was it suicide?
Why would she take a painkiller right before surgery where she'd be administered meds? Was she just nervous?
Would you your crazy wife's hot young sister?
Where my Knick bros at? Sleppin?

Guess I'll try tomorrow, friends.

Can't believe they spoiled it in the promo but yes I would she has had a really dark and sexy vibe all season.
>She with you?
>I thought she was for you
bravo Synder! bravo!
Snyder films don't have this type of Whedon-esque banter, bro.

Remember, the guy who wrote this dialogue has an Oscar. Let that sink in.
>>63337815
>good writing means every line has to be spoken like some Shakespeare diaglogue
Go read a book
the hate for this guy honestly makes me sad
you realize it all comes back to "he's not as funny as the other guys", right? does that really constitute humiliating a man and shitting on his career?
literally everything people hate about Opie relies purely on insecurities/poor social skills, something pretty common here. if anything you faggots should be sympathizing with him
>literally everything people hate about Opie relies purely on insecurities/poor social skills, something pretty common here
you realize he works in radio, right? smdh
I honestly feel bad for the guy but I have to admit he doesn't have a good sense of timing. The times he'll get a good line in he'll either repeat it over and over or try to tag it and ruin the original line.
>>63336280
Fuck off. He got lucky and got carried by other comedians/Anthony, sure, but that doesn't constitute the incessant hate. it's literally destroying the guy's life
being bad at a job doesn't necessitate being shit on daily. criticism, fine, but the personal attacks i've seen are fucking ridiculous
Episode 6
She bled in the last scene. What do you think happened?
Also, they picked-up for a full season. Do you think there will be a season 2? Is it going well on the ratings?
>>63336225
How can she look so hot in some scenes and so average in others?
>>63336257
Clumsiness?
>produce one of the most explicit shoots in the Fappening
>get the lead in a tv show
Are you other bitches paying attention?
Ailright so I just watched this for the first time in years, it's an alright Star Wars movie. It's comfy as fuck and the acting and story weren't terrible, I really enjoyed the podrace scene and the final litsabre battle. I adore the Naboo and the Gungan cultures as well.
Lets get to the root of the problem, Jar-Jar Binks.
Not a bad character idea. He's actually pretty important and I can tell Lucas meant to flesh him out in the upcoming prequels. He should've been and deserved to be a more important character. What ruined it was the...

Visually Episode I is pretty great, lots of neat designs, good mix of practical effects and well done CGI, I mean watto still holds up nicely, and the sound design is great.
The story and the characters are a complete mess. Qui-Gon is the only character that seems to have any substance or purpose and even then he often acts contradictory because the story makes no sense. Maul was underused, anakin shouldn't have been so young, Obi-Wan shouldn't have been playing 2nd fiddle doing fuck-all the...

Jar Jar is only the beginning of TPM's problems
You were drunk when you watched it so you didn't pay much attention to the plot to realise just how retarded it is
>>63336208
Havent you witnessed the last few months of /tv/, any of you?
What are you glad got de-canonized by Disney™?
For me it's the yuuzhan vong and bioware's shitty fucking addition to the lore:
>zabraks and other species were created by a giant magic space machine
>Disney saves us from that shit
Also, what do you miss the most?
>>63335938
That image alone is enough for me to accept everything I liked about EU being gone, just so Vong are gone too.
I remember reading Galaxy of Fear back in junior high and hating the shit out of it. They weren't even being subtle in their attempt to siphon money out of the Goosebumps franchise.
Also, Splinter of the Mind's Eye is pretty bad. It comes off like a low-budget Italian rip off of Star Wars (that was one of the first books approved by George Lucas), and there's a super uncomfortable part where Luke thinks about fucking Leia as she's sleeping.
I can imagine disney bringing back the vong, unfortunately.
Also ea has video game rights. Bioware's already planning to rape the franchise again. Transgender gay Jedi masters of the old republic when?
Last one died, new horror thread
don't hold back on the spooky. The Thing and Alien are of course a couple of the best. What genre are they exactly? Suggestions for more like them?
>>63335611
Italian horror movies are objectively the greatest.
>Like Alien
Hardware (2000AD adaption in the vein of the Dredd movies)
Planet of the Vampires (Alien's Italian granddaddy. It's not that great outside of novelty value. It's like a long and goofy Twilight Zone episode but you can see the inspiration)
>like The Thing
Prince of Darkness (similar John Carpenter movie that nobody ever wants to talk about. It's pretty damn cool.)
>>63335731
Thanks for Hardware suggestion. Prince of Darkness is underrated and I love it too, as well as In the Mouth of Madness.
>>63335852
I really like Hardware. It's director only managed to get one more movie, Dust Devil, made but it's also good. The problem is that the producers destroyed it with an awful cut. The Director's Cut is very interesting. It's cool to a see an African movie that's professionally made and deals with distinctly African themes without being about strong expatriot women returning home and being shocked by gender inequality.
Faramir a best
>>63335270
>he got tempted by the ring in the film
HAAAAACCCKKKKSSSSSSOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNN
>>63335303
>implying that wasn't a good change
there's zero conflict in that chapter, how would that translate to the screen exactly?
>>63335303
It made no sense for him not to be tempted by the ring in the book. Faramir was a shitty Mary Sue character and Hackson's changes for Faramir were a huge improvement.
>"Dad, who's posting on 4chan past midnight?"

WE NEED A BLACK OBI-WAN
>le heroin man being in starwars
no thanks, he should stick to his shitty hipster flicks, leave real cinema to the actually good actors
Just saw this beauty. 9.5/10 inb4 you pleb contrarians and patricians that only watch French and Dutch Lesbian "art" films (or "true cinema as you call it) start shitting on mine and everyone else's opinion because you faggots can't take a funny movie. Linklater's best movie, everything about it is so great, especially because it is one of those movies where nothing really happens. Every scene is great. Superbad definitely borrowed a lot from it. Would highly recommend.
I saw this one the other day too anon, comfy.
>>63332866
Agreed, comfy as fuck.
I like this movie a lot but I feel that the whole arc of the football dude quitting the team was really lame and I just couldn't give two shits about his character at all. Every other aspect and character was fantastic though.
