Does anyone else feel like they didn't give enough weight to Han Solo's death especially in regards to Chewbacca? I really wanted Chewbacca to fully go apeshit when his best friend died and just fuck everything up in his rage, which they kind of started to do but it ended way too quickly. To me it feels like they skimmed over a very emotionally significant moment.
>>63737659
Chewbacca literally killed every storm trooper he could see, blew up shit and severly injured kylo.
Chewbacca raged
kind of yeah, the ending felt rushed, I feel so sorry for chewie though
He technically did go apeshit, but what bothered me was how quickly he got over it.
Can we just get a kotor 1+2 movie? They managed to make a story better than lucas and other shits that did eu ever did; not counting 4 and 5, its literally the only good star wars thing
>>63737591
It makes me sad that nobody's commenting here. The Kotor games were awesome. But I haven't played them in years so I hardly remember anything worth contributing. Sorry OP.
>>63737591
True, they both were great. The second one was a bit too dark though, it didn`t feel like Star Wars. Avellone should have made a game based WH40K.
>>63737762
*based on WH40K.
Star Wars Episode VII is the most dissapointing thing since Star Wars Episode III. How do you managae to keep fucking up the franchise even after you dumped George Lucas *picture of Lucas in a bin*
JJ Abrams is supposed to be a competent action director, he'd be a safe pair of hands who'd learn from the mistakes of the prequels: no excessive poetry *video of the new death star*, no bad CGI characters *video of Maz and Snoke* and no pointless crap filling the screen *video of X-wing battle clusterfuck*
"It's so dense, every single frame-"

I bet you both Mike and Jay end up liking it, though they'll acknowledge it's derivative, but excuse it because they recognize there's a tremendous amount of pressure on disney not to fuck it up.
Also, there will be no Mr. Plinkett review.
>>63737527
Why are people trying this hard to stand out.
The film was good and you know it was.
You laughed at the funny scenes and you were amazed at the scale of the movie and the chases too
>>63737570
Mike did like Jurassic world, so who knows
Who /reddwarf/ here?
>>63737526
Pretty sure Jackie 4chan is.
>>63737560
I don't get it
Read the book about a million times
>the guy with cancer ended up seeing a cliffhanger before he died
would have probably been better if they hadn't shown him the movie
>>63737294
So even more like Fanboys then?
>>63737294
He got to see Han die like a bitch at the hands of his own son. That had to be harsh. :(
He died and doesn't have to suffer. Now we suffer with this cancer in his memory.
Is Star Wars VII going to tear /tv/ apart?
There's been such a strong hatebase for it here for months because anarchists want it to be bad to see the shitstorm, but the movie's actually really fucking good
How long will you meme about it being bad before accepting the reality that it was good?
>>63737153
lol never.
it just quiets down. but it never ever ever is accepting.
Its not good.
Its just a remake of SW IV with worse dialog and shittier versions of the main characters.
>>63737153
That's your opinion it's not really good the most I'd give it is a 7.8
Today it seems like the lowest form of art in Hollywood.
Bonus Q : Is that the reason the big movies are so poors today ?
Tarantino.
>Bonus Q : Is that the reason the big movies are so poors today ?
Yes, if the general audience cared about screenwriters and cinematographers like it cares about directors and actors, Hollywood would have an incentive invest in them, and movies would skyrocket in quality. One of the main reasons TV is becoming better than movies these days is that in TV the writer is king.
>>63737126
I think it's because a good screenwriter doesn't matter anymore.
Hollywood is a business more than ever now, and they have figure out the winning formulas. For a long time Hollywood has thought the audience was smarter than they actually are, so got good writers/actors/directors/. They've realised that shit isn't necessary, just "iconic" shit they can run into the ground after milking the shit out of it, then they can use that to their advantage by "rebooting" it. Did...

anyone else think this is getting loved too much?
feels like people are really overrating it due to the fact that its a "feminist" film - i mean i really enjoyed it, but its a straight forward action film and nothing else.
>>63737075
shitbait
>>63737075
It WAS getting loved too much but not lately. and yeah all that feminist stuff was retarded
Its crap. Itll be as forgotten as Crash. Remember that hype Oscar winner? Nobody does cos it was SJW bullshit. Max was the Avatar of road movies.

Isn't that the question of the day?
He was a pretty threatening villain until hetook off the mask.
Disney blew their load too early.
>>63736942
there ought to be a screenwriting rule that if a character is going to do most of their intense scenes with the mask off, you may as well not introduce them wearing it.
the mystery of not knowing what he looks like winds up being more impressive than the actor's performance.
No one cared who he was after he took off the maaask.
>takes off his mask
>DUDE BLOWN LOAD LMAO
>doesn't take off his mask
>DUDE DARTH VADER ALL OVER AGAIN LMAO

Disney extorting movie theaters:
http://deadline.com/2015/12/the-hateful-eight-star-wars-force-awakens-arclight-theater-fight-1201668018/
>Quentin Tarantino went on the Howard Stern Sirius radio show and spoke about how Disney is strong-arming Arclight Cinemas to push the director’s 70MM presentation of his eighth film The Hateful Eight aside in favor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in LA’s famed Cinerama Dome. The director first learned about this on Monday. The western was originally due to play there claims Tarantino starting on Dec. 25th,...

this is like a no-brainer for movie theaters. he'll get the theaters when the hype dies down. january is a shitty month for movies anyway.
