He was a leading man in Inside Llewyn Davis and he has tons of personality.
How well did TFA in your country?

For comparison:
The phantom menace did 1.2m and Fast and Furious 7 did 1.025m

Imagine being Arnold in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Jamie Curtis, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your tight body and horrific androgynous monster face. I would totally have sex with you, both my character and the real me." when all he really wants to do is fuck another 16 year old in his dressing room. Like seriously imagine having to be Arnold and not only sit in that chair while Jamie Lee Curtis flaunts her disgusting body in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her stretchmarks and leathery skin, and just sit there, take after...

It was too self-aware t︂b︂︂h
Yes, the winks and nudges were insufferable, not to mention it had an uninspired story, forgettable characters and very soulless, "cash-in" feel.
Still better than TPM though
It was too rushed t︂b︂︂h
>the "It's another Death Star" lines
>the trash compactor joke
>Finn starting up the chess game
There was nothing beyond that.
I'd take a few self-aware references to the complete lack of self-awareness that the prequels and George Lucas had.I liked the prequels but still
Help me prepare for christmas, what are some /tv/ approved films?

Is this the most cine-illiterate area for movie discussion on the entire internet now? Is it possible we have topped the IMDB boards in terms of flat out horrible taste?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if someone could give me an answer. In Star Wars how does everything get powered? Do they use electricity or some other more advanced way of powering their machines? Obviously in the scene where R2-D2 falls into a swamp he's still able to function perfectly afterwards. Is that because he isn't powered by electricity or is he just water proof? Logically I wouldn't think R2-D2 is waterproof cause he has many openable parts that are required for him for example hack into stuff. What do you think? Is it stated somewhere on the Star Wars...

/tv/ hates everything almost as much as /v/. It was a bit heavy on the original trilogy homage, but overall was very good. Much better than the prequels.
30 fucking years and this asshole character couldn't train a single fucking Jedi, the one Jedi he tried to train immediately turned to the dark side.
Then before the Republic even resolves the civil war, he runs away like an emo-kid, yet leaves a map hoping people come to find him.
Also, 30 years and the Republic still haven't won, and somehow let an Imperial Faction to somehow amass enough resources to construct a Planet-Size Death Star.
Shitty shitty script.
>maps
Why doesn't the SWU a phone lol
We don't know anything about Luke's new Jedi order other than the fact that Ben failed his training. Maybe Luke had a bunch of students that were killed.
We also don't know exactly the reason he vanished. He could be looking for answers.
It's the beginning of a trilogy, m8
Its hack writing and a retconning of Return of the Jedi to justify a sequel.
>When you try to inject good writing into the prequel trilogy

>no one else saw it on /tv/ cause autism
>rip hits interwebs 3 months later and suddenly everyone is talking about it
I know I should expect this by now but it's still fucking annoying
>>63925235
Not a movie, but I gotta say Narcos. Arguably one of the best TV series of the last decade and one of the best things done about drug war and cartels.
