Tonight my brothers are at summer camp and mom has a night shift. My das wants to watch some great scifi movie but I can't find any we didn't see or which doesn't suck according to the net.
We watched and loved:
>pic related, 2001, blade runner, the thing, all aliens, terminators, edge of tommorow
stuff we didn't mind watching:
>interstellar,gravity,martian, oblivion
What would you recommend for us to watch tonight?
Do people still actually send their bairns to summer camp?

Cargo 2009
made a thread about it yesterday

How was it?
to me
Dany was raped. She was not "legally" raped in the laws of the dothraki. The argument is how we define rape as a modern society with full acknowledgement that women are equally as human as men. In that context she was 100% raped. She suffered. She was traumatized. End of story.
And yes. Insane fact: rape is actually the worst crime. It's the only crime that can never have a moral justification behind it. Even murder can be justified more commonly than rape.
neckbeards will REEEEE about this

>Even murder can be justified
killing someone in self defense is not murder moron
>>71665897
>You can't rape your wife
>>71665897
The sad part is that Dany wasn't raped in the books, dnd just made it rape because they thought it'd be edgy

Does /tv/ like this movie? It gives me a grin from ear to ear. Mel plays such an amazing and unrepentant asshole.
>>71618071
I liked it a good bit. It's always fun to see a true antihero.
>>71618071
Great movie. Mel is just so fucking likable and enjoyable to watch and this movie plays the cheese perfectly. To my understanding, the director's cut is lighter on the jokes and more violent?
>>71621178
Yeah the director's cut is almost a totally different movie as far as tone goes. It's interesting watching them to see how different they are.
To be hones I prefer what I think is described as Mel Gibsons version. I normally hate it when directors lose control of their projects but it really is just a much more enjoyable movie that way.
If I wanted dark and serious then I may as well watch the original film it's a remake of Point Blank.
Why was this kino so underrated?
If it wasn't called "True Detective", people would've given it a pass.
But it had too much hype and expectations to live up to.
The first one defined a sub-genre and a narrative style. This one was too different.
Redditors on /tv/ started hating on it because it got popular part way through season 1.
>so bad HBO actually canceled it
But boy those contrarians on /tv/ say it's good so it must be, right?

Thats not a proper answer to a multiple choice question
>>71617968
How do people take this movie seriously? I was laughing my ass off the entire time at how ludicrous it was and how autistic the Driver was. It was one of the funniest movies ive seen
I call it the pasta di falcone. guard of the hawk.
Does this even make sense? Seems like it leaves your lower body unprotected.
>>71617822
Pretty sure its a real guard position actually, you aren't as exposed as you think because the idea is you stay out of their reach as much as possible. If they attack you parry downwards.
>>71617822
But it doesn't. It's easier to drop the sword with the assistance of gravity than it is to raise it in defense. Hence it's a good defensive position

>Gadot was also going to be Faora, but dropped out because she was pregnant
What the fuck is wrong with Snyder and the producers? For what reason do they think the best actresses to portray amazonian female warrors are brown, eastern-looking waifs? I legitimetly don't understand how someone could look at a Wonder Woman comic and think: "Yep, Emily Ratajkowski looks exactly...

>Emma Watson is many things — an amazing actress, Brown University graduate, UN Goodwill ambassador, outspoken feminist and champion for gender equality — but apparently there are a lot of people out there who seem to only focus on one aspect of her life. Her sexuality.
