I'm tired of people "rating" what they call "cinematography" in a 90% CGI films.
Here is the definition of cinematography
>Cinematography is the science or art of motion-picture photography by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as film stock.
Key words: art, recording.
Now if you look at the image, it is in fact 2 dudes in funny costumes staying in a green room. This is what...

Sooo watched this the other day with the gf. Emma was a pretty qt stewardess who has to escape 70's Chile with her boytoy Daniel Bruhl but they get arrested by Pinochet regime and thrown into some crazy German cult prison. Based on a true story.
Some highlights:
-Emma goes skinny dipping in river to get in trouble
-Bruhl shows off his ass while he makes breakfast for Emma
-Nyqvist plays a creepy pedo cult leader who thinks he's Jesus
-Bruhl get tortured a lot and pretends to be a retard to escape the blacksite prison
Thoughts /tv/?
It was actually pretty solid imo. 3/4 or 3.5/4
The directing was pretty good as were the performances, Emma and Nyqvist stood out they were very good. Bruhl was ok but I thought Emma outshined him and had more chemistry in the romantic parts. Looking forward to more Emma in The Circle and BABT
My fav scene was in the stadium
I would watch this only to see how they portrayed the crazy shit that happened in Colonia Dignidad, Germans can be fucked up.
>>71669687
It had a jonestown vibe. I'm sure worse shit happened then what they showed in the movie but it was errie enough.

basically anything that tried to portray something that wasn't possible with the technology at the time
jurassic park for example holds up very well and some would say it even looks better than jurassic world

Star Trek into darkness... don't flame me bro.
I mean if i was to go really retro, Good bad and ugly... :/ that bridge was phenomenal.
>>71619956
Huh.
I still haven't seen the Star Trek films made since 2009. I loved Star Trek as a kid and my family enjoyed the movie. Guess I should check it out? Heard they used a lot of lens flair.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Just that him and fat Marina were exploring the past of the Enterprise while they were in there time for TNGs Pegasus.

Just saw pic related and unexpectedly really liked it. I'm not a war movie person by any means but they really nailed the horrors of war aspect. What are your thoughts, /tv/?
Also, war movie thread. What should I watch next?
>>71619428
it's awful and you're a pleb for liking it.
>>71619428
Definitely one of the worst, most insulting and garbage tier pieces of shit I've seen in a long, long, long time. Abysmal. I was upset with myself for seeing, upset with the theater for charging me money and offering it, upset with every single member of the cast and crew for being involved. Aggressively lazy, it's pure filth, and symbolic of capitalism's worst crimes. 8/10
Watch Saving Private Ryan for the brutal reality of war where Germans arent totally incompetent.
Fury looks like a kid's movie by comparison.
