I need gifs and webms of the force awakens
preferably the one where rey puts on her helmet in the desert and from a certain fight scene near the end of the film
I've got a few.

Thanks anon, keep posting
I just realized that the reason so many people are up in arms about Rey beating Kylo isn't so much how inherently asspull it was, as that they all really liked Kylo and were mad that he lost.
Who KYLO here?? Easily my favorite character.
>>64028164
Why did people like Kylo? His tantrums? His bitchin Bane mask?
Kylo is a bitch and he has Disney villain syndrome where he's built up for the whole movie, but turns out to be a pushover.
Just like every Marvel villain ever.
>>64028366
DESU, I actually liked him for both those reasons.
I've seen it a second time and I swear there is so many references to what happends between EP VI and this one that it is well worth a prequel trilogy alone just on that. They are keeping it all in for the next few ones.
A few things I've noticed this time around:
>Who is Rey
Everyone is just thinking Rey is Luke's daughter, which could be true, of course, but it's weird that neither Han or Leia raised an eyebrow for who that girl was. They did not treat her in anyway special, or were in anyway surprised to see...

>Kylo Ren's intentions
It was pathetic how small of a character Max von Sydow was, but even so, the very text in the introduction mentions him as an old ally and he seems to know a lot about Kylo Ren just from their little chat. That Kylo was born from the light side and so on. Kylo's transformation is not at all explained. He says to Vader's helmet that he is going to finish what Vader started, but what was really that which Vader started? He also mentions the pull to the light and that Snoke notices it as if him noticing...

>The Force Awakens
Where does it awaken? Is it Rey? Or the light side in Kylo? Or maybe even that Luke was not merely in exile, but also somehow hibernating, simarly to R2D2 and it is that which has awakened. It's very strange that Luke would just leave things behind, this is really the question we should be asking and whether it was out of a conscious choice or whether he was forced to do it.
Also:
>Rey's vision
As I've read and so I could hear, it was really Ewan McGregor's...

>he was specially angry that they were with a girl, it was precisely what triggered him, maybe he was just misogynist or whatever, but it really did seem that he was expecting to hear of a girl some day.
this part was weird because yeah, in the beginning it definitely seemed like he had some theory or suspicion about her identity, but later when he has her captured he acts like he has no idea who she is
maybe he does know she's his cousin or some shit but in true vader-fanboy...

this, i'm fat and roll around, people don't really mind me but don't hate me either.
What was his problem?
tree niggers
Nothing.
He simply didn't want to die standing watch over a dead man. The Injun son catching him euthenizing Glass complicated matters but that was a heat of the moment kill.

George Lucas post-ESB
i just watched the force awakens, and my two biggest problems were:
1) it is the exact same film as a new hope
2) apparently force-sensitive people don't need to be trained to be jedi anymore, they can just start mind-controlling and lightsaber-swinging without any guidance or teaching. so why did luke skywalker need to spend four jillion years taking yoda's warty green dick on Dagobah if this wasn't necessary?
aside from that, I thought it was a very enjoyable movie and a fine successor to the originals.
a glib facsimile
>>64027569
Luke was swinging lightsabers, he just wasn't any good at it. He tried skipping school and ditching Yoda and Vader gave him the asskicking of a lifetime.

>1) it is the exact same film as a new hope
To be fair, there's a lot of stealing from Empire and Jedi too.
What, just because...

Special effects pioneering
>>64027052
Alright, I'll give it that. Couldn't you say the same about 2001 or something though? I guess 2001 didn't have lasers or anything though.
>>64027092
Yes you could say the same about 2001. Both are important, I'd argue Star Wars gave more to special effects though as without it you wouldn't have the creation of ILM
why didnt she become a jedi master?
>>64027013
She is a Jedi if you read into the lore
>>64027013
cocaine, plastic surgery, and some likely brain damage.
just isn't as presentable on a 4k screen anymore. she's funny though, good for bloopers.

was Obi Wan training the greatest accomplishment of Qui-gon?
Kenobi fucked up. Wasn't ready to have an apprentice

I can't believe they didn't have Darth Maul live after episode one.
Obi Wan is my fav character so yes desu
ITT: Shit the prequels ruined.
>Vader used to be a badass hero turned badass villain
>turns out he was a whiny fag who killed younglings and turned evil in about 30 seconds.
Thanks prequels
If he was a celebrated, renowned, and fully-initiated Jedi hero his turn to the Dark Side would make no sense.
The fact that he was ostracized and distrusted by the Jedi even after accomplishing great feats was critical. He was still considered fairly "badass" for his pilot prowess and killing Dooku.

What's more tragic and unexpectedly heart wrenching: having a great, honorable hero turn out to be a despicable criminal or having that weird kid from your class who smelled like cheese and sang Sonic the Hedgehog songs to himself turn out to be a mass murderer?
The Force used to be a thing you could learn but later turned into a thing where you needed to have a high count of something in your bloodstream in order to learn it.
You have kind of big hips for a storm trooper
My pockets are full of hard-boiled eggs.
Why is everyone saying this? Can someone show a pic with Finn having weird hips? I saw the movie twice and I never noticed it.
I have the klinefelter's maam, that's very insensitive
