I don't understand how retards like you come up with threads like this. You aren't opening up any sort of topic for discussion you're just posting a shitty image with a vague quote from the movie expecting what type of response exactly? I'm tired of seeing useless threads like these popup among the other shitty memes all over this shitty board. I just want to discuss television and film with other people who share my interest not look at the textual manifestation of your mental retardation. Eat...

Did Nolan have a brain stroke writing last 20 minutes of the movie?
>so they like jump inside black hole and find a library that was build by future peoples who live in a giant donut

Name an iconic sci fi movie that has a coherent ending
What if Christopher Nolan directed The Force Awakens?
What would change? Would it have been a better movie?
>>64142696
Eh could have gone either way
I would have rather seen someone like Coppola do it
The movie would have been explained better and we would have more impactful scenes in space.
And since there was no love interest in TFA, he would have made a nearly perfect movie.

> Nolan in charge of action scenes
Jesus Christ I did not expect this to be as fucking psychotic as it was. I thought it was great, very unsettling. Juno's dad definitely deserves his oscar.
Thoughts?
bamp
The movie was strong and had that special something missing from a lot of films today. And it did have exposition bullshit. It's a film that stirs emotion from it's audience.

first time i saw it i was literally sitting at the edge of my seat for the final scene. I love that it ended on a climax.

Who else can't wait until Episode VII comes out on Blu-Ray and everyone begins to realize how mediocre it is?
If your entire movie's strengths rely on nostalgia for older movies then it is impossible for it to stand the test of time. In theaters the reaction is hugely positive because nostalgia does that, but nostalgia has a short half-life and once VII is sitting on the shelf next to the OT what will make it stand apart? Nothing, because it offers nothing new.
The most offensive part is how shallow it is. Abrams didn't even attempt to replicate...

I hope the special features have some good stuff. I need more shitposting material.
Right away that shot of the tie fighters in the distance looked off
It looks fucking stupid. People made better material in those fan short film competitions held a long ass time ago

Is the American legal system elaborate for-profit theater, or does something resembling justice occasionally eke out?
these's days the only true Justice there is is if you shut your mouth and DO NOT TALK WITH COPS WITHOUT A LAWYER PRESENT
the cops will use anything, ANYTHING you say against you
"I didn't like the guy" turns into "The suspect told me he hated the victim"
"I frequent the place" turns into "he was there when the victim was there"
"I was never there during the time of the crime" turns into "a witness says they saw a individual matching the defendants description"
etc.
point...

Nice meme
So which robot was better?
BB8 or TARS from Interstellar?
Tars by far
>>64142301
still don't quite get how TARS was supposed to walk.
Not much surface area in contact with the ground at any given time. would be very susceptible to slipping.
>>64142323
Because TARS was programmed not to slip and fuck up. TARS was legit.
I'm in your theaters, trolling your culture. U mad bro? Good. Now we can all talk about why.

If she's so good at magic why is her house so dogshit when there are so many spells that could make them not look so fucking poor?
Fucking terrible. Harry Potter was easily one of the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the seriesüf only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but itüfs certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books are g-g-good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King
