Does the force awakens need a directors cut?
what would you like to see added?
All the cut scenes and shots. Maybe a line from Luke at the end.
Movie was good but way too fast. Extend some scenes and it would be better
Maybe an edited down 5 minute version.
What was the appeal of Mad Max Fury Road?
Driving around in the desert for 2 hours with generic guns and explosions?
Shit movie

> Padmé became the star-slut of Anakin Skywalker, fifteen years her junior. The strange love between Anakin and Padmé, as bizarre as it was, isn't at all hard for most people to imagine.
>Anakin, an upstart "pod" racer from Tatooine, thought Padmé possessed the beauty of an angel, and could not stop staring at her. One thing led to another, and the two quickly started petting. What followed is strictly tabooine, especially on Tatooine, but may safely be described with the innocent metaphor of a train...

I always thought the age difference was super weird
I mean he has to be like 8 or something and she's gotta be like 18 or something in the Phantom Menace
>>64170808
Padme was about 15, Anakin was about 10. 5 years difference isn;t at all strange, especially when the female is as hot as Natalie.
Was it really that bad?
>>64170684
hahaha no
plebs will be plebs
it's one of the best films of the current century
>>64170684
Nah it was aight. 7.5/10
Most great movies alienate at least as many people as they please. Once you're a master artist the lower the rotten tomatoes score the better really.
>Millennials don't know who this is.
larry the cable guy
took me a minute but nice try faggot
>>64170486
"Millennial" refers to anyone born after 1980, so yes, yes they do.
>80s kids didn't watch Ernest
I don't think you know what millennial means.
Was he "alpha"?
In terms of human society's continuance he was the ultimate omega.

>By now, more or less everyone has acknowledged that Star Wars: The Force Awakens closely echoes A New Hope — so closely, in fact, that "echoes" does not quite do it justice. It lifts most of its major plot points from A New Hope (and a few from that film's two sequels), sprinkling in some new characters.
>Some reviewers have dismissed this lightly; others have dwelled on it a bit, but ultimately forgiven it. Vox's own Ezra Klein has argued that it is a feature, not a bug, a way of bringing comic-book sensibilities to the Star Wars franchise.
>I find it a little weird that this doesn't bother critics more. I'm with Brian Merchant: the movie's "predictable, nostalgia-reliant, repackaged thrills" are "a defeat for what made the trilogy extraordinary in the first place—its madcap sci-fi originality and genre-bending experimentation."
Why are critics giving TFA a pass?
ANH was dogshit though.

I remember when the Blockbuster opened in the strip mall at my neighborhood. It was a huge fucking party. We rented Flight of the Intruder and it made me want to be a pilot.
Shame my eyes suck and I didn't qualify for flight training.
Can you name one memorable line from Rey in the entire film? Can you name one moment where Rey was given character development beyond being a strong inexperienced woman?

I'd spend money on a novel or comic series from the perspective of a loyalist Stormtrooper in the First Order.
agree

Ok let's get this out of the way.
People forget vibro blades existed long before lightsabres, people also forget the Empire employed them regularly as stun batons.
People also forget that the empire/first order DOES on occasion like taking prisoners, as you see in the movie.
People forget that force batons are useful for subduing people without killing them, just like riot gear hence why he had the shield and a baton holstered.
People also forget that the first order knew the jedi were there on the planet and that they would need something to...

Are Miyazaki movies really that good? Where do they stand in comparison to the Pixar classics?
>>64168368
This movie was a bunch of random mishmash shit thrown on the screen with no rhyme or reason.
People liked this movie because they think it makes them look smart or something
>>64168497
baka gaijin detection
They are shit. People like them because they lack imagination. The pacing is always off and the artistry underwhelming. Character development is nonexistent. There are no real life parables outside of tragedy. They hold no purpose besides escapism, and for that reason the sense of escapism is dampened.
>instead of Kyle Katarn stealing the Death Star plans it's now a multicultural cast led by a woman
