Is there a substantial difference in watching this in 70mm?
Why aren't people annoyed that the two main characters in Star Wars are British? It's a very American movie and I'm surprised there weren't Americans complaining.
I was born in the mid 90s and never witnessed what exactly the Star Wars fandom was.
What modern franchise is it comparable to?
Was it ever a big deal to the mainstream, or did it keep to a very vocal fandom like, say, Adventure Time is today?
How did it enter the mainstream?
I really struggle to understand how a niche sci-fi can become such a cultural force.
Im 41. It was a cultural phenom. Watch That 70s Show episode about SW EP IV. It perfectly captures how the film hooked multiple generations with a classic story and groundbreaking effects.
What happened to him? Did his shoddy acting in Star Wars prequels ruin his career? He could have easily been what Chris Evans is Today (same age) but now he looks like life just fucked his shit up.
>"Men took out their cellphones and began taking video and pictures"
anyone else calling bullshit on this?
Her getting raped? Not really, it's Egypt. They have a real genuine problem there with rape, over there and in India it's practically a national sport. Her Benghazi reporting may have been terrible but she almost certainly got raped in Egypt back in 2011.
Nothing that brown men do surprises me. The way they treat women makes western treatment of women centuries ago look like we worshipped them. I remember seeing a photo from one of those sexual harrassment shame sites (I think it was Bye Felipe) where an Indian guy called a woman a faggot and a cunt on Facebook because she didn't respond to him calling her "sexy n thick" and the people who saw the image looked him up on Facebook and forwarded it to his employer and his family.
What is the best Ghibli film?
>cant have a thread about the most popular and award winning show on television
Which is better?
Revenge is the second worst in the series.
Tough. Both are good but completely different films.
The Force Awakens is a solidly and competently made sci fi action with all around good characters, scenes, dialogue and music, however it possess very little memorable scenes, for it does not attempt to stand out. It is an overall good but not great movie.
Revenge of the Sith meanwhile, is the best prequel, where there is an enormous amount of conflict, drama and characterization revolving around the transformation of Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader,...

Why is this movie better than The Force Awakens? Don't try to deny it, you know it's true.

I feel like she just came off of a 30-year bender and is stumbling around saying whatever comes to her mind. I personally find it hilarious, but for some reason all the SJWs take the crazy shit she says as the word of God.
Has anybody else noticed this? Why have feminists latched onto her?
The same reason some men will latch on to any dumb misogynistic shit and call it "redpilled." People are always looking for a scapegoat so they don't have to own up to any blame or responsibility for themselves.
Posters you own and display in your movie room

Did he do it?
Did he not do it?
Will Brendan ever watch Wrestlemania?

>Refuses to kill people
>10 minutes later hes murdering the only people hes ever known and lightsabering his countrymen
>Can fight a Jedi master with no training
You guys can bitch about Rey being a Mary Sue but this is some of the worst characterization I have ever seen.
So what's up with the sudden push of Facebook articles saying "ok, now that they hype's died down, this movie isn't that good". Seriously seeing it everywhere right now.
