Haha, holy shit I nearly went to like this post.
>>64428912
did your crippling ugliness stop you?
This show doesn't have a single likable character.
What about Astronaut bro?
>>64428750
The idea that you have to like characters in order to enjoy their stories is very pedestrian.
>not liking Black Phil
>literally the only competent one who wants to survive and thrive instead of just having fun and drinking half the day away
What does /tv/ think of based Max Landis?
>>64428415
Shoo shoo nerd cuck
He called out Abrams on Rey being a Mary Sue, so he's OK in my book.
read tvtropes once, destroyed the internet for a couple of days as a result. other than chronicle he has a bad track record though, maybe should shut up until he makes a good movie?
What was the most disappointing film of 2015 for you lads? Pic related for me.
>>64427970
Why did it disappoint you? I thought it was fantastic.
Anyway, Inside Out was the biggest disappointment for me. I suppose I just expected more from what people were saying was Pixar's best film
>>64428426
I feel like the (admittedly impressive) stop motion work was used to make up for the weak script and boring characters really. Couldn't relate to any of the love themes either, as I'm a sperglord autist who has no experience there.
When I saw the trailer I thought Malick was back, it was just another "actor looks worried over pretty landscapes" bullshit
Post non-meme characters.
Anti-meme if you will.
>>64427965
>le epic bingo man
Nah.
>>64427965
Hans is literally reddit: the meme: the character
>>64427965
What even makes a character a meme character?
People think Starkiller was more offensive than ending the OT with this?
Yes, if only for the fact that they literally did the same thing for a third time.
This ain't your momma's death star!
It was because Sheev's plan was different in RotJ than in ANH. Meanwhile TFA's ending is literally a combination of RotJ (destroy a generator on the ground to weaken the not Death Star) and ANH (destroy the not Death Star before it destroys the not Rebel base)
>>64427721
>literally the same thing
that death star 2 though, not starkiller
Why didn't he use sith electricity?
>>64427283
He didn't have real hands to shoot with anymore.
Because he had robot hands
>>64427283
He had to use it at all times to power his suit so there was none left over to use on anyone else
Are there any movies like the Kill Bill movies not directed by Tarantino?
Basically what are some Kill Bill-esque movies?
Lady Snowblood
Anjaam
Park Chan Wook's "Revenge Trilogy" (Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance)
ITT: Times when remakes were actually superior to the originals.
you can't name a better example.
>>64426707
This movie will be 10 years old this year, btw
John Carpenter's The Thing
>mob operation getting robbed
>"You know who you're stealing from?"
>theres a new student being focused on at sunnyvale high
>he/she's the monster of the week
>log onto 4chan to surf
>there is a non star wars thread
THE VIPERS
Not a Star Wars fan but really enjoyed this fight, How did it resonate with the fans?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tMZdrUx8eM
I enjoyed it.
>>64426289
>not a star wars fan
>literally posting on star wars the board
the jango scenes are the only good ones in the entire movie
Why do people try to defend this irredeemable mess of a movie?
>>64426091
The Emperor is entertaining, that's why.
I agree it's shit and is the most damaging of any of the prequels.
>>64426091
Because kids like flashy colours. They also like the Transformers movies.
>>64426091
Obi Wan finally gets a decent haircut.
Anikan gets his awesome new black robes.
Padme dies.
Vader suit reveal.
Death star reveal.
Badass Sheev moments.
>defeats loras tyrell in single combat
>kills two members of Renly's kingsguard when wrongfully accused of his murder
>kills 3 stark men when confronted with Jaime
>defeats Jaime Lannister
>sent on a quest to locate two concealed girls in a vast and war torn area
>finds them both
>defeats Sandor "the hound" Clegane in single combatComment too long. Click here to view the full text.

I agree
DESCENDANT OF SER DUNCAN
MARY SUE
How many men could she take down if she were fighting 20 good men?
What about this one?
MMMMMMMM
WHATCHA SAY
Is that emma stone?
Did he need to be a horse?
Did this show need the animal-humanoids?
Other than the occasional pun what did it add?
>>64425216
The premise is the irony of the viewer connecting the most with a horse that's as human as you could possibly be.
Premises shouldn't add anything: they're premises.
BACK IN THE 90s
There's little jokes sprinkled through out the series. BoJack for example uses ketamine in some episode which is a horse tranquilizer. There is some shit like that.
