>It's just shit.
Was it the plot? What was it about the plot, specifically? The dialogue?
>It's just so shit.

There was not a single scene like this in TFA. No great climax, no John Williams blasting and rising the tension, No Moff Tarkin ervously focused, it just felt flat.
No good guy out of left field to save the day, sure Finn destroyed the shield in time, but it wasn't dramatic. It wasn't engaging. Nothing was, I was watching a movie, but I wasn't immersed in it.
It's like JJ wanted to make a Star Wars but missed the spirit of it completely.
>>64665991
I'm sorry it wasn't an exact copy of A New Hope anymore than it already was.
It's a story we've already seen. Everyone knows the death starkiller whatever blows up at the end, so they wanted to focus on the character drama instead. Nothing wrong with it.
>>64666068
It could have had the spirit of Star Wars without the same exact set pieces.
Whats it like having sex with Anakin Skywalker?
>>64665816
Forceful.
>>64665840
fuck you
It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Anyone watches this?
Anyone read the books?
Yes.
No.
>>64665794
Well then I would recommend you read the books they are pretty fucking good senpai. How would you rate the show?
>>64665845
Season was rushed too much.
I found the books quite good to be honest. Only read the first 3 though
>$39m weekend
HAHAHAHAHA
Avatar's worldwide record off the table, now it looks like Star Wars won't be able to even overcome Titanic's total gross.

Is Finn going to get killed off-screen so the next 2 can make bank in the Asian market?
Isn't almost guaranteed at this point that episode 8 or 9 will surpass it?
>>64665784
Why the hell would the hype be bigger for the sequels to this dull piece of shit?
Film tropes that don't happen in real life
>gruesome crime scene
>officers immediately have to go outside and throw up
why doesn't this happen?
>>64666687
Because the normal reaction is shock and not nausea.
>>64666811
says who?
Since it's only a matter of time, who should direct it?
lynch
I think there already was a Dune movie, haven't seen it though.

He was a bad mannered friend

Whitnail & I
In this thread, you present a movie of your choice as if I had never seen a single movie in my whole life, but was otherwise intelligent and educated.
You can present any movie you want, from any era, but you must act as if I had no idea about any tradition it comes from, or of any genre whatsoever. Everything you present must be presented as if it was an absolute novelty to me.
Let's do this.
An excellent movie, set during WW2, with a young actor who'd become even more famous later on.
Direction is divine and music too. Incredible.
>incredibly underrated too
Easily one of the most unique films ever released, which only got better as they restored scenes to it. It represented both the pinnacle and the most popular film of an entire genre.
Must take care and watch the 1973 version, for the gods of cinema will not take kindly to a mistake there and might invite you to keep a peculiar appointment.
A soundtrack for the ages.
An astronaut develops a phobia of space because it is so huge and so empty that it reminds him of the potential absence of God, and he can't handle it and is sent to a castle in Germany where other mentally challenged people from the military go to get better.
This includes a man who thinks solids are rude and liquids are polite molecules because the former resist you while the second make space for you.
They are to be healed by a Vietnam war hero.
>the most insane brawl scenes in cinema history
