C-can I star in an Oscar movie next?

RESPECT THE COCK
It's really a crime he hasn't won an Oscar yet. He definitely deserves one more than fucking Leo.
They will give him a lifetime achievement award.
Let's predict next year's Oscars even though we're 2 months into the year and no good films have come out yet.
(Pic related is Scorsese's new movie.)
"do you want to live deliciously?"
Keaton gets nom'd for the Founder, still doesn't win. Founder wins best picture. Keaton meme begins.
The Birth of a Nation nominated at least 12 times (including Best Picture, Director, Actor/Actress, Writing)
So I watched this last night after it won best picture.
So why do you anons not like the film? It was fucking brilliant. Only "bad" thing about it is that it more historical then most films.
Best acting as a group, best movie scene of the year. Why do you hate it? What do you think should of won best picture? Mad Max?
>>66537960
Spotlight's not a bad film in any way. however, it's not a great film. Mad Max and The Revenant are great films. Room is almost great but should have included another scene with William H. Macy. okay, back to Spotlight. the film is a newspaper procedural that hits all the beats, is competently directed, acted, shot, etc., but there is no single great moment in it. the film depicts institutional corruption of 3 or 4 major institutions that let, or more accurately, didn't stop kids get molested for decades....

>Mad Max and Revenant are great films
They really aren't. Your thoughts on Spotlight are reasonably accurate though.
This was an incredibly weak year for best picture.
>>66538250
Also, Scorsese would have ruined everything Spotlight was trying to do. It's understatement was why it was so good. Scorsese would have made it about his style.

Than reading reviews of my own movies. I usually try to avoid the experience - but this one takes the cake. Often, to my great amusement, a critic will mention my past films in glowing terms, when at the time those same films were savaged, as if to highlight the critic's flawed belief of my descent into mediocrity. You see, my dear fellow FBookers, I have rarely gotten great reviews… on any of my movies, apart from those by reviewers who think for themselves and make up their own opinions....

>Seems most critics spend their time trying to work out what most people will want to hear. How do you do that? Why these days it is so easy... just surf the net to read other reviews or what bloggers are saying - no matter how misguided an opinion of a movie might be before it actually comes out. Lock a critic in a room with a movie no one has even seen and they will not know what to make of it. Because contrary to what a critic should probably be they have no personal taste or opinion, because...

He's not wrong, GOE maybe unintentional comedy of the year, but I wouldn't look to the same people that gave iron man 3 and Indy 4 a positive review
fucking based
Knowing's finale was pretty good
>muh action move doesnt deserve an oscar
>no plot at all
>no dialogues
Why did normies hate Mad Max?
Just contrarian faggots?
Oscar bait wins Oscars. Big surprise
It got shitloads of secondary Oscars.
It's obvious that the normies who voted for the Oscars appreciated it.
The three best character arcs of 2015 all took place in Fury Road.
Why.....?
Visual effects are about faking reality.
>>66537285
You picked the scene with the worst FX in Mad Max to showcase why it should have won the award?
>>66537285
>muh explosion
go watch some michael bay shit you retard
Daily reminder that the same group of people who voted for Spotlight to be Best Picture gave a convicted pedophile a standing ovation.

Rachel McAdams should have worn a dress that showed off her big fat butt more instead of one that showed off her measly sideboobs
Fucking a 15 year old isn't pedophilia. It's hebephilia, which is neither uncommon nor unnatural for men. Also, consensual sex is not rape.
>>66536965
>which is neither uncommon nor unnatural for men
It's against the law which he fully knew before doing it.
Did it really deserve the oscar? I watched the movie and effects are pretty... average.
>>66536105
What do you mean average? They sit perfectly well within the film and never once distract you by being unbelievable.
not for special fx but it was kind of a pity oscar since it got snubbed for best picture and a lot of other shit like oscar isaac for best supporting
>>66536145
yes but there are plenty of movies that can map an actor's face onto a cgi body and not suck at it. and wasn't it just a costume most of the time? she start wearing dress and a wig after a time right? am I wrong?
that looks like shia actually
regardless

I can never imagine what it feels like to be in a t-shirt, holy shit, he must be freezing. Where I live my house is filled with cold, cold, air. I have to have like 4 layers on at once with no skin exposed just sitting at the PC and the air around me is freezing.
How did Rylance win best supporting actor over Hardy, Sly, or Ruffalo? What the fuck happened? He was in the movie for 10 minutes and his performance was competent, but completely unremarkable.
>>66534123
>I know nothing about acting but I prefer hammy over the top acting over realism
>>66534123
The nose knows.
>>66534123
He's a meme stage play actor who barely appears in films.
He's like Paul Scofield or Jon Finch.
/tv/ I didn't watch the Oscar's last night because I figured there will be a plethora of white guilt talk due to the "muh inclusions" whining about it.
I know Chris Rock was a host and he only can make race jokes. Outside of Chris Rock however was there a bunch of cringey "We're sorry for being white" moments?
>>66534106
>I didn't watch because
Insecurities: The post
The shittiest part was Lady Gaga's rape performance.
>>66534106
>Please don't offend me
Whiny bitch.
Spotlight now joins the ranks of timeless classics such as:
>The Artist
>Crash
>Shakespeare in Love
>Million Dollar Baby
>The English Patient
>Oliver!
>Argo
>The Hurt Locker
Films remembered as the peak of cinema, that left a significant cultural impact.
>>66533272
Ayy lmao
As much as I didn't want Mad Max to win Best Picture, it would have been a better choice than Spotlight.
But Argo was actually good
Oliver! is a classic though
Who here watches "The Flash"?
Any possible theories on who this man might be?
