>He had more drugs than fried chicken in his apartment
>He'd rather OD on drugs than spend time with his kids
>People actually miss Philip Seymour Heroin
Why?
>>66853634
>>He had more drugs than fried chicken in his apartment
is that supposed to be a lot?
>>66853634

Is it possible to dislike a comfy movie?
>>66853560
Yeah, I guess. "Comfy," at least the way I understand from the way its been used here, really refers to the experience of watching stuff rather than the actual product.
For example, take the second season of Twin Peaks. The first season is great and pretty "comfy." The second, however, is all over the place in terms of quality and a difficult watch for many. I got through it by watching it one cold winter with two blankets wrapped around me and all the hot cocoa I could drink (which made...

Comfy movies like this one?
I'm looking for movies that just have great stories where you can sit back and enjoy.
Also what did you guys think of it?
Why do movie posters always do this?
It's not even in order of top billing
>movies where you can sit back and enjoy
Do you usually movies where you have to stand up and not enjoy?
>>66853460
Exactly. I hate it when I have to stand up for upwards of 2 hours and bend over every time I have to take a drink of sody pop.
>romance in Star Wars
Why, George?
no clue
>George probably thought the prequels would be his magnum opus
>>66853304
>Why, George?
Because Luke and Leia had to come from somewhere, there was also romance in the OT
>According to John Carpenter, the opening of the film with Egg Shen (Victor Wong) in the lawyer's office was added in at the request of 20th Century Fox executives, in order to make Kurt Russell's character Jack Burton more heroic. Without the added scene, the film would have started with Jack driving to San Francisco.
Were Americans really this stupid that they'd need a scene to explain that Jack Burton is the hero?
>>66853242
>Were Americans really this stupid
They're gonna vote for Bernie, aren't they?
>>66853242
The executives didn't get the joke that Jack Burton isn't really the hero or actual center to the story so they needed something to reinforce that more. Fortunately the joke still shines through so it doesn't really matter.
>>66853397
>The executives didn't get the joke that Jack Burton isn't really the hero
Except he was the hero. He was just a little incompetent. Wang kept fighting the wrong people and Egg couldn't hit for shit.
Has anyone else seen this show?
Its surprisingly comfy, and some of the characters are really growing on me.
>>66852946
I watched the pilot, but it did'nt grab me. I love the actors though. Should I watch it?
>>66852946
Yeah, it's great. Have you read any of Elmore Leonard's books? I always try to recommend them to people who like Justified. They've got the same cool, funny dialogue and well-drawn characters you get in the show.
i started watching it, but stumbled after 5-6 episodes. bunch of uninteresting standalone stuff.
i liked the pilot though... does it get better?
hey /tv/, so I just finished the first season of better call saul. it was pretty damn good, like shaping up to be better than breaking bad good. there's one thing bothering me though, why don't they ever explain why they called him slippin' jimmy? i'm assuming it's probably explained in the second season but it's really bugging me. you'd think it'd be something they'd explain to you in the fourth or fifth episode. if it is explained in the second season can someone give me some spoilers and tell me where he got the nickname? thanks guys.

What I don't get is why Chuck wears the tinfoil? I mean whats that half to do with cancer?
>>66852737
perhaps you missed an episode. it's because he tried conning people by pretending to fall on their icey driveways and injuring himself.
it's because when he was a kid he was clumsy and always slippin' around on stuff so chuck started calling him slippin' jimmy
What was a better movie; Jurassic World or TFA? I didn't see either one.

Do they write this guy a personality later on? DS9 is my third Trek series after TOS and TNG, and he's supremely uncharismatic.
>>66851592
If by personality you mean "high as shit all the time" than yes.
i fucking hated sisko early on but he gets fun
thought he was just going to be mad space nig 24/7 but he's pretty charismatic and kinda becomes black picard for awhile then goes space SLJ
will say that brooks does often deliver lines weird as fuck though. at any rate stick with DS9, S1 and S2 have lots of good episodes but season 3 is where stuff gets really good.
go look up Jammer's DS9 reviews and watch anything with atleast 3 stars

Best Picture when?
emma thompson and john travolta already played the perfect hillary and bill
When Woll Smoth is replaced with Chiwetel Ejiofor

Just get Trump to play Trump. And Larry David for Bernie (seeings as his entire candidacy is comic relief anyway).
And someone else for Lewinsky. I don't like that frumpy bitch and I wouldn't pay money to see anything she stars in.
