>The Escapist
>being right
Statistics tell me I should say no.
The only reason they're "dying" is because Hollywood hires talentless jews. Comedy is fine in the rest of the world.
>>67179378
The Escapist? Everyone decent jumped off that ship 2 years ago. Now it's just Yahtzee being a substandard Charlie Brooker in a see of mediocrity.
What is your opinion on recent Disney movies and the studio itself?
3D animation is an unfortunate aberration that is inferior in all aspects to traditional hand-drawn 2D.
Zootopia is the funnest movie I've ever seen.
>>67179218
Zootopia was pretty nice. I also liked InsideOut. I think they really do solid kidmovies.

Saw a thread on this yesterday. Looking for more advice.
I have a new 55" 4K LG in my bedroom and I sit about 4' from it when watching movies. Is it worth it to invest in a Samsung 4k Blu Ray player? I'm excited for The Revenant, but I wonder if they'll ever get around to some other favorites like Drive and Suspiria.
What's /tv/'s opinion on 4K?

>What's /tv/'s opinion on 4K?
I wish every theater with 2k projectors was tossed into the firery pit of hell along with everyone responsible for the installation.
For home stuff? The screen aren't big enough to justify it. You need like 80 inches for a start.
>>67179039
This. Beside, there are only a limited 4K BR. And you can forget TV. Unless you Japanese.
>>67179039
Damn. I was going to check out Best Buy today and see if they had one plugged in for a discernible quality difference.

What are your favorite 5 movies and what 5 movies do you consider the best movies ever made? If you're not a tryhard or a pleb the lists should be a bit different.
>>67177687
I probably haven't seen enough to say which are the 5 best movies ever made but my top 5 favourite is
1. Les quatre cent coups
2. Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain
3. The Grand Budapest Hotel
4. Blade Runner
5. Mad Max : Fury Road
If you think there is a difference between ''best'' and ''favorite'', then you are the epitome of plebeian.

>Ant-Man turned out better than Age of Ultron
What happened? Is this what it feels like when a bubble is about to burst? Why was that movie so...average? The only new thing that worked well was James Spader as Ultron.
>>67177598
Age of Ultron Sucked because 2 hours isn't enough time to establish a villain as strong enough to be a threat. They always seem cartoony and impotent.
>>67177598
Joss whedon happened

Then how come Burton managed to do so in few minutes?
