What the fuck was the point of this storyline? To show not everyone wanted to suck Don off?
Your guilt has been determined. This is merely a sentencing hearing. Now, what will it be? Death or Exile?
Why does he wear the mask?
TELL ME ABOUT JAMAL
WHY DOES HE WEAR THE MASK
WHY DOES THE MASK BLEED? TELL ME ABOUT IT.
ITT: Movies that aren't necessarily Golden Palm or Oscar worthy, but you enjoy the hell out of, anyway.
Mine is pic related

>watches only Oscar worthy movies
GTFO
>>71760126
That was neither what I said nor what I meant. What I meant was basically like a guilty pleasure movie. I don't just watch Oscar-worthy movies, because this is one of my favorite movies.
>>71760180
> da nuclear hazard sign on the poster
It's weird it's a guilty pleasure honestly. It's not highbrow or anything, but it doesn't indulge in any massively over the top cheese either.
It's about is no frills if you can get in Hollywood without trying 'making it a thing' actually.
The story is matter-of-fact for the most part. The directions style conventional and unintrusive.
How do I get into John Carpenter?
The Thing is his only truly great film and not just above average genre fare overhyped by his cult fans
>>71760125
OP don't do what this anon says. He's the one who's bought into the cult-hype. The Thing is a cool movie but probably the single most overrated thing on /tv/. Go chronologically, even the smaller movies that sound weird are pretty great. Nobody ever talks about Dark Star or Prince of Darkness but they're great stuff.
Watch his movies
Did you know that this scene was improvised? The actor was supposed to grab Ledger by his shirt before he did the pencil trick but instead Ledger slammed his face into the pencil, instantly killing him. Nolan decided to keep that take in the final film as he thought it well demonstrated the Joker's psychopathic tendencies.

Source?
I swear it must have been a 9H pencil.

nolan is walking kino
Everyone's big beef with the new Ghostbusters is that it looks abysmally unfunny (and it does), but my big problem with the movie is that the ghosts' designs look fucking boring and if the leaks of the story are to be believed, the mythology and concepts of this version's ghosts, allegedly all the souls of deceased historical criminals, sound really lame and uninspired.
Back in the 80's, science fiction and fantasy movies followed through with their own sets of rules. The DeLorean's mechanics were explained. RoboCop had prime directives. People...

my problem with it is they gave the guy who written and directed Bridemaids and Spy full control
>>71759807
My main problem is how Scooby Doo the ghosts look. Not scary at all. Making them all blue is just terrible.
My problem is that it has an all-female cast. Grrrr, women... I would be really angry if it received a lot of media attention.
Can we discuss JAWS
I think it might be my favorite movie of all time
It was a great movie for it's budget but lacked in some places for story. The interaction of the dad and son was genuinely one of the most touching scenes in movie history, but started one of the worest PR campaigns for the wildlife in history.
It's proof that movie should have responsibility, but at the same time it was a budget film.
I think it was fantastic, and one of the first blockbuster horror movies of all time, making it an important classic.

It gave sharks a bad name
>>71759664
>movie should have responsibility
Explain? It's not like the movie demonizes all sharks, just this one monster shark
Just effective filmmaking

>if you don't have an eye for what is good and what is bad, you're not going to make it.
are we losing this mentality? almost every conversation I have about movies that are bad with people they always say "well that's your opinion" or something to that measure in a conversation about OBJECTIVE quality.
This is a very important thing that people need to realize, and every autist outside of the industry...

He'll be fine
So what are your expectations for this movie /tv/?

It's Pro-Zionist gentile garbage.

ROTJ is the best, prove me wrong
And dont say ewoks, wookies would have wrecked the empire and not gone along with the small vs. large motif
the last third of the movie was always a problem.
regardless. It's why we hate it the most, and love empire strikes back the best.

Selling toys=/=motiff
Lucas is a toy selling fool. He could sell stale hardened shit if he marketed it right.
People always mock me because my order is
A New Hope > Return of the Jedi > Empire Strikes Back
I feel the Hoth sequence goes just a little too long, the training sequences are just a little too short, and the final Cloud City sequence is great but I much preferred the beginning and end of ROTJ to Cloud City.
I prefer New Hope over the others because it's such a pure and classic adventure, but done just right. Archetypal but interesting characters, lovable characters without a doubt, some feels with Ben Kenobi passing on, promise of more to come, but still...

This movie was bizarre.
But was it good?

It's amazing
>My favorite person we talked to [at Sundance] was a lady that came up on stage afterwards, which she wasn’t supposed to do. And she goes, “I know I am not supposed to be up here but I have one friend who can fart in front of me and I have another friend who can’t and I know he would be so much happier if he could.” Then she just started crying and Paul Dano gave her a big hug. We all sort of left the stage shell-shocked, like “Did that really happen?”
CLASSIC
I still think he killed Carl. I think they will change it up from the comics. Daryl will pretend to betray Rick and become Negans right hand man only to tear negans group from the inside. Based Daryl.

He killed Glenn then he kills Abe afterwards. Been confirmed.
>>71759096
Na I think they filmed multiple endings to throw people off.
>>71759096
I like Glenn but I can't wait to see him get his brains bashed in 2bh. He's escaped death so many times it's absurd, his time has come. And they need to gain some fucking credibility back and show they aren't afraid to kill season 1 characters.
