It did have quips, which stuck out like a sore thumb and actually made the movie worse.

A decent film with some good performances. It was everyone's favorite movie when they were 14 - 16, so now everyone pretends to hate it.

Just watched "The Pegasus", a seventh-season episode of TNG.
When I first saw this years ago, I sided with Picard & Co. as I usually did - but now I find myself much more sympathetic to Admiral Pressman and his fellow conspirators in Starfleet Intelligence. The whole idea behind the Treaty of Algeron seems ridiculous: a treaty signed "in good faith" with, of all people, the predictably treacherous Romulans, a treaty wherein the Federation (which consists of not just Earth, but all members worlds as well!) agrees to not develop cloaking technology?...

Gen-X and Millenials CANNOT grok, and will not ever grok, Gene Roddenberry's ideals.
>>67761747
Ok, I'll sacrifice Pressman as the fall-guy and make a public acknowledgment of the Pegasus' crew, but the work will continue.
>>67761625
You aren't corrupted.
I can't get over this opening sequence.
It's so fucking perfect. Zack Snyder is truly the most gifted visualist working in Hollywood today. Hans Zimmer & Junkie XL's score truly takes the scene to unprecedented heights as well.
The rest of the movie may have been an incoherent mess but the first five minutes are better & hold more artistic merit than anything in a Marvel film.
>>67761534
It was indeed very well done. It reminded me of the escape scene from the Pit in TDKR. There's no doubt Snyder is a talented director; he just needed a better script.
>>67761534
The name Zach is old Hebrew that means "The Lord Remembers", the last name Snyder is a German word for Tailor.
The lord remembers tailors
I know I'm trying too hard here, but then again, so does Snyder.
>>67761603
He was bogged down by Warner Bros desperation to create a cinematic universe.
There's a masterpiece hidden somewhere in BvS.
