All the female characters are strong and independent, all the relationships are depicted as the female being dominant and the male a bumbling buffoon, and the two white males on the show are both creepy, compulsive psychopaths.
Clearly there are no underlying messages here.
Japanese audiences didn't ask "Why did Papa Kent died there?".
In the same way Japanese audiences didn't ask "Why didn't Schultz shake his hand?" in Django.
Japanese people have a concept of GIRI, which is an obligation, a self-sacrificing duty, responsibility.
Papa Kent needed to die there, just as Schultz needed to die, to sacrifice themselves because they had this moral duty.
Meanwhile, American mouthbreathers can't understand why they did any of this.
Who's the best on-screen devil?

Excuse me. Please don't disturb my friend.
He's dead tired.
sum up your life with a seinfeld/curb your enthusiasm quote
Why the fuck isn't this a movie?
Holy shit this still holds up. I haven't seen this movie in almost ten years and I am surprised how well it looks. Writing, pacing and of course the cast still is great.
Is the 3rd one worth watching at all?
I don't think I can watch this show anymore. The writing has only gotten worse. They literally start story lines and don't resolve them only to have them completely disappear.
The murder/suicide scene sticks with me to this day.

ITT: We predict the Tomatometer for Captain America Civil War
My prediction: 98%. It is the follow up to the best Marvel film ever made, and honestly, nothing has ever been attempted on this scale that I can honestly remember. The Russo's know how to craft an awesome story, and unlike DC, Marvel has been building this world for almost a decade. Every movie in the franchise has been building toward this moment. Plus, not for nothing, SPIDER-MAN is finally coming home. One of the biggest complaints with the MCU thus far has been that Marvel hasn't been able to...

I'd say in the 90s for sure, but maybe not that high. There are always critics that seem to want to shit on Marvel's parade. Not a WHOLE lot, but their there. Look at Guardians, it only has a 92, when it is pretty much one of the better entries into the super hero genre. Better than Dark Knight, IMO, which is ranked higher.
>ITT MOVIES THE DON'T DESERVE THEIR ROTTEN TOMATOES SCORE
Pic related, 10%. Come on, it's not that bad.
I think Sabotage is a solid 50%. It was brutal and pretty much senseless, which is how I imagine its plot would actually play out.
Yeah, my wife and I just got done watching it. I mean it's amazing if you're not expecting realism, but then again 15 minutes in he's survived two twenty feet falls. So I think they were asking people to not ask for realism.
>Rec me more movies like Soldier, Escape from LA, and Commando
How come he didn't save anyone in the movies?
So its widely known that Jonathan Kent wanted to die here because he didnt want to be known as the cuck that raised someone elses son right?
