It doesn't matter, stylistically the scene is meant to invoke the feeling you get when you've just woken up from a dream, and still question if it was real or not.
Funny how a complaint is that it's not made clear if it was a dream, vision , Flash shenanigan, etc., when the point is exactly that, leave it ambiguous.
