I just finished watching it. I don't know how I feel about this movie as a movie itself, but in terms of musicality this is a fucking masterpiece. Also, the acting was passionate, not sure if Academy Award worthy since they forced it a few times, but the delivery of Miles Teller and especially JK Simmons was astonishing.
What do you guys think?
would have been better without the "romance" stuff just a guy trying to be the best

I found the plot with the girl (whom I can't even remember the name) pretty pointless, it didn't even add any profoundity to Teller's character, but hey, it's Melissa Benoist.

Like no one ever was?
Finally watched this movie. It's a 3 hour film masterpiece. It was shot well and really well made.
The problem is I never got into it. It was just like watching stuff happen. This happens, now this happens, now this happens, etc. It was presented really well but it wasn't engaging. Nothing in it was suspenseful or exciting, I never connected with any of the characters or care about what was happening to them, and there was no setup/payoff anywhere in the entire movie. Even the reveal at the end wasn't impressive.
Batman V Superman was kinda the same...

You need to pay more attention to both on rewatch, you'll start noticing subtle details and other stuff.

>It's a 3 hour film masterpiece
No it isn't
>>69114529
Watch it again, I had the exact same feeling, looked good, but that was it.
The story clicked the second time because I wasn't focusing on the cinematography.
By now it's pretty much confirmed that he's Jay Garrick, right?
>>69114512
Now why would he be?
>Jay Garrick
>JAY GARRICK
>The other jay we know is HUNTER ZOLOMON
>Hunter is a dashing lad
>He is pretty old considering.
It's his mother's maiden name. If anything, it's a thrice removed connection
He probably is a speedster, but then again, Trajectory, Zoom, ThawneWells, Barry, Wally... Jesse!
It's...

He's got the Jay Garrick look nailed
Plus it wouldn't be the first time he's played The Flash
>>69114735
That's been Granted since the start of the show.
The curious thing is the last episode, where he asked: how are you getting your powers back?
It's like he knows more than he lets on, but since we're not seeing him ZOOM around like a certain few others, i'm not sure they're going to pull this thread in.
But, i'm sure he has at least a minor connection to the speedforce, be it speed parkinsons, or hypersweating.
>This is now classed as a retro classic
Just think about that
was there ever a porn version of this called School of Cock?
>>69114437
>That one scene where Jack Black teaches the class about GG Allin and flings his shit on a student's face after raping a girl
Was this really necessary?
I know that I've seen this movie at least 4 or 5 times, but can't remember a single thing about it.

do you think Clone Troops ever fugged their Jedi commanders?
It would be a great way to keep morale up
>>69114213
Yes.

I'd like to see Maury Povitch try to pin who the father is with that one.
Nah. Just a lot of masturbation fantasies.
This week's haul, which should I watch first /tv/?
The Thing. Pans Labyrinth. Lost in Translation. Grand Budapest Hotel. In that order.

Comfy selection OP.
LiT might be good.
>buying blurays
Just finished my first viewing. I really liked the relationship between Murray and Johanson but it was too slow paced. Anyone else feel this way?
>>69114135
I thought it was beautifully shot, but had sort of a hollow feel to it. Part of that's probably intentional. I really need to watch it again at some point.
bumping cause I want to hear opinions
Is it a problem for a film to be slower paced?
Best season of 24? IMO season 5 is the best.
5 > 9 > 3 > 2 > 7 > the rest are a blur to me.
I really need to rewatch this, can't really remember anything that happened in season 1.
2, 7, 1.
Five was nerve gas right? That one was best
Name a worse running gag than the Smelly Cat song.
You objectively cannot.

if it stops pandering to Jew feminist agendas and focus on Man Hero Movies they can be the only one
What went wrong or right? Why is Marvel better and DC losing?
Can DC ever fix this? Will Marvel start dying?
>>69113685
Nothing went "wrong or right," Disney just paid off most of the reviewers to hate BvS and love CW.
Objectively BvS is still better with more scenes people remember.
