Is there a website where people can vote for a film to watch together at a given time ?
Something like Twitch, but for films ?
Big corp would lose a lot of money.
Actually it would be plausible with older movies

Reminds me of when you used to be able watch Netflix with friends together in party chat over XBL.
No idea whey the removed that feature.

Or we can all launch the film at the same time with a timecode to follow ?
How would /tv/ react if Mulan came out today?
>WHAT IS THIS SJW SHIT!?
>MULAN!? MORE LIKE MARY SUELAN!
>WHERE ARE THE WHITE MALE MOVIES FUCK YOU DISNEY JEWS!
>implying it wouldn't start with LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS
Yes, isn't it crazy how cultural context doesn't stay exactly the same over 18 years?
I bet people would even look at me weird for calling things "Radical" and "Wicked Gnar".

How would liberals have reacted if they were grown-ups in the 90s?
>lol republicans are SO BUTTHURT about Ferngully lollmao :D, how does it feel that one of the best movies of all time shits on your opinions?
>what do you mean "stop forcing pro-enviroment messages in movies"? They're no big deal, It's 1997! They're here to stay, deal with it conservafucks! ;)

I need some help, /tv/.
It's grossly apparent that "kino" is /tv/'s 2016 buzzword. I never saw this term until a few months ago, and now I see it in almost every other thread's main topic, if not every other thread post. I feel out of the loop..
Could some kind anons please explain what "kino" is? Why is it so popular all of a sudden? What does it mean? What does it refer to? Please, elaborate to the fullest extent you care to.
It means cinema and some people thought it would be funny to pretend that "kino" is a special form of cinema that's better and more sophisticated than regular cinema. Then people immediately forgot it's a joke and now they SERIOUSLY think kino is a real thing and you cannot convince them otherwise.
It should just get word or spam filtered along with a thousand other buzzwords.
It just means movie in another language or some shit. Don't use it anon as it is just a meme word used by autistic children, it's used by the same type of people that also use words like "JUST, cuck, senpai, blacked, stinky dinky, cunny" in every single post.

The term "Kino" comes from a .jpg image that people copy and paste around the board.
It was in the Powerpoint presentation of some failure of a professor, doing a lecture in one of those weird and useless universities that teach how to enjoy videos.
A student stole it and started polluting /tv/ with it, and here we are today.
Would you watch a remake of Drivewith a female lead?
No. Women don't have autism. I wouldn't be able to relate.
>remake a literal 11/10 cinema
No
I would watch a shot by shot remake of Drive with the main character having a lisp and a mole on the nose.
Man, that would be true kino.

Okay. Let's talk the Dark Tower movie.
First and foremost Roland is being portrayed by Idris Elba. I wouldn't have a problem with him being black if it didn't affect the entire character interaction/development of Odetta/Susannah. But, keep in mind that they aren't starting from the beginning of the story for some retarded reason (It'll be interesting to see how bad they fuck this up) so perhaps they'll skip the whole racist subplot entirely.

the first book was barely worth thinking about.
So they are skipping the best books?
What a terrible choice. Elba will do fine as Roland but this adaptation is going to bomb.

You know, that guy looks a lot like Charles Bronson
Episode One Is Pointless.
Literally the most useless part of the Saga.
K. Thanks for this thread.

the blu-ray actually looks pretty good in terms of quality/effects

That poster is better than any shot in the movie

Just watched this.
So why didn't Vincent just rent a car?
I didnt watch the movie but I assume because it is a tracable method for a contract killer?
He wanted Max to blamed for the murders. He did something similar in the past.
As you would know if you had paid attention to the movie.
His plan was to frame the cab driver for the murders and then make the driver's death look like a suicide. He offhandedly mentions a driver who went on a murder/suicide spree and the implication was that it was actually a driver that Vincent had framed on a previous killing spree.
Also, IIRC he's not the real Vincent. He bumps into Jathan Statham in the beginning and takes his suitcase, which I interpret as him taking the list of targets so he could be the hitman and collect the bounty.
ITT: Disney direct-to-video sequels you actually liked.

I can't understand how lots of people hated this awesome 2nd one but liked the horrible 3rd movie that actually sort of ruined he original
This one has so many great songs and a pretty solid plot

I actually watched it more times than the 1st movie.

Blacked: the movie.
I enjoy DC and Marvel heroes and villains. But if you're going to put them against each other, Civil War was a better acted, better written, better directed flick with a coherent storyline. I wish BvS was the best capeshit movie to date, but it was horribly bad.
All Marvel but cinematography in CW suck nonetheless.
>>69644827
> I don't know what I'm talking about
>>69644692
so, what's /tv/ consensus on what of those capeshits is the lesser evil?
