I'm not one for remakes but this was a breath of fresh air in my honest opinion.
It hit just all the right notes to be nostalgic while changing just enough to be fresh.
Im not big a fan of SNL or the actors but the script was pretty solid. I enjoyed the new take on the library scene and felt in vein of the 80s.
I love the practicals

>bait: the board
oh boy, the fun we're having eh lads
>People don't realize how much the movie butchered the original comic
Was a valiant effort though. Better than pretty much all following capeshit comic faggotry

It was for the better.

Being better than the source material isn't a sin. And yes, Jim Carrey's Mask was way better than the comic.
What does /tv/ think of The Deer Hunter?
boring as fuck
yeah i fail the pleb filter on that one i guess.
Vietnam stuff was good, rest was boring shit.
Its too slow by today's standards. But, a bit like Taxi Driver, the movie stays with you and projects long term impressions.
Is every King of the Hill episode basically
>Strawman comes onto the show
>Hank is a good boy, he dindu nuffin - he just wanted to mow his lawn. He was getting his propane career back on track!
>Strawman is defeated in some way by Hank's old fashioned ways
Or am I missing something?

With an all male cast
I'm currently rewatching the original. Just arrived at season 2.
I cant fucking believe IMdB only gave this a 4/10. are they really that pissed off just because the lead characters are female?
the movie is obviously good, it got a 75% on rotten tomatoes and they grade movies hard as fuck
I have no respect left for IMdB left what so ever

Placements for the new series
Hypnodisc was carnage incarnate. Was there ever another robot with destructive capabilities that could match up?
It seems like nobody really had any notice for the new series so I think we'll see some familiar faces back next year, assuming we get more than one.

>it's a main character has godlike superpower but never EVER uses it in remotely logical or profitable way TV show
he cares too little to truly take advantage of the Word of God.
Does him out of some sticky situations though.
>>71972679
>using the word of God for personal gain
Wouldn't that just destroy him like it did to everyone else the Genesis entered?
>>71973210
I remember when Jesse's watching some FOX News type talk show and says "Just TELL US what you want!" to the TV, and the feminazi guest and Bill O'Reilly host both start shouting "I NEED COCK! I NEED COCK!"
I'll be amazed if that makes it into the show.
Would anyone like any toast?

Manufactured by a Taiwanese company named Crapola Inc., Talkie Toaster was an annoying, monomaniacal, artificially-intelligent electric bread toaster purchased by Dave Lister whilst on planet-leave at a second-hand junk shop on Miranda, along with a robot goldfish and a smuggled pet cat.
