So, what is this new type of marketing called?
Where you get your "stars" and whole PR department and affiliates to outright, constantly offend the audience who's supposed to watch your movie? This has never been tried before.
Will it work? Do you think other movies will follow this formula if it does?
make westeros great again edition
First for Kinvara, High Priestess of the Red Temple of Volantis, the Flame of Truth, the Light of Wisdom, and First Servant of the Lord of Light. For the thread is dank and full of memes.
Which do I go see today?
These are literally the only two movies I've seen in the past couple years that I regretted paying to see. I'd say Warcraft I guess because at least it looks interesting. Nice Guys is really bad and really boring with horrible cliches, characters, and pacing. At least Warcraft is somewhat original eye candy.
Has the actor of a main character on a TV show ever died, forcing the show to end? I cant think of any examples of this. The only actor i know who died during a show was the Lionel Hutz/Troy McClure voice actor and the show wasn't cancelled.
Hi, I'm Troy McClure. You may remember me from "My Voice Actor, Phil Hartman, was Murdered by his Crazy Wife" and "I Haven't Appeared in The Simpsons for 18 Years".
Well the voice actor died like 1 day after recording the character´s last line or so.
The show might as well have ended here.

Jack reacher 2 + cobie smulders
At 53, Tom Cruise is still a busy action movie star, with an upcomingsixth installment of theMission Impossiblefranchiseas well asthe firstfilm in Universal’s rebooted “Monster Franchise”,The Mummy. Thatpacked schedule also includesJack Reacher: Never Go Back, and while the wait hasn’t been as long as for that plannedTop Gunsequel, a four-year gap between films risks losing the built-in audience that enjoyed the first outing.
Hell yeah cruise control and my side waifu, very nice. Jack Reacher 1 was good.
What a fucking stupid name.
>tfw Dune will never get a proper movie adaption like LOTR did
>even if production started it would likely be dropped again
>even if it DID come out, it'd likely flop either because A. they didn't put a lot of work into it because they knew it would tank or B. audiences just don't care about a new series
It would be insanely difficult to adapt Dune to even a 3 1/2 hour movie. There's just too much. Lynch and Jodorowski both tried and failed. It needs to be a series, HBO is the only one I trust to give it the budget it needs but then it's too slow and paced for the average TV watcher to appreciate.
It'll never happen though. Maybe it's better that way.
Dune is one of the few stores that, meme buzzwords aside, still feels "epic" to me. I don't think any modern movie could do it justice and wouldn't somehow just diminish it and turn it into a disposable action flick for popcorn audiences.
