Why is it demeaning for midgets to play midgets in movies? It makes perfect sense for a midget to play a midget character yet we hear all the time about how midgets are persecuted with elf and dwarf roles. It's like they want to rise above the stereotype, but they are literally midgets. They can't expect us to take them seriously in a role as a tall person and not be like "umm that's a midget".
What are we suppose to believe a midget could play the role of a professional basketball player in movie and just ignore the fact it makes no sense?
