Name a scene more kino than this
How does one achieve this level of cool?
>>70818890
Was this scene included in the Director's Cut?

The fug?? He has the power to control doggos?
Woah this movie was much deeper than I thought
Why is British Humour so superior to American Humour I mean American Humour is literally:
>dude your bro is like 21 now he can buy us weed and beer now so we can impress stacey at the party *farts*
>>70818723
*plaaaaarrp*
>>70818723
>While British Humour is just a cut straight to *farts*
Both are shit
American humour: sex references, like they were 14 years old
British humour: dumb puns, like they were 12 years old
This is literally the worst horror movie ever made.
Why the hell is this rated so highly? It has like a 95 on rotten tomatoes and 83 on metacritic.
Its fucking laughable, literally, the effects are so bad (even for a 2009 film) and I'm sure they were made to be intentionally laughable, like that scene where an anvil falls on top of that woman and her eye squeezes out, looked extremely campy.
I get that raini was trying to go for "horror comedy" like evil dead but it failed miserably because the film actually has a serious tone, so comedy feels...

I haven't seen this film, but I watched The VVitch today and I liked it a lot. I thought of this film (which I haven't seen, and couldn't remember the name of). I guess you're saying I shouldn't see it?
>>70818778
Don't compare the two.
The witch (its fucking called the witch, not the vvitch, I get thats how its stylized but cant we just fucking call it the witch?) is an extremely atmospheric horror movie thats kind of a horror-drama. Whereas DMTH is a corny horror-comedy (made like that on purpose by raini).
I really liked the witch as well, its slightly overrated but still a great film. But dmth is shit tier in horror movies.
So dont say you'll like this film just because you liked the...

Tbh the only issue I had with this film was how fucking OP the curse was.
Like, it didnt took the old lady days of conjuring, it didnt took her a huge scavenger's hunt for extremely weird materials. The victim was only doing her job as well, she didnt had to make a blood pact of anything.
She literally just said like 3 words and gave the victim a button.
Thats it
Thats all it takes to give someone the universe's worst punishment.
Because its not only a death curse, its...

How about mine?
I'm Writing an exam tomorrow on the matrix film, my question is: Analyse how conflicts were developed to show one or more emotion(s) in the visual text. I'm probably going to write about the conflict between Morpheus and Agent Smith, or between Neo and Agent Smith, either way i'd like to hear your opinions on why i should do which character and what conflicts do you think have been developed in the film
>>70818367
Do your own homework faggot
>>70818367
I would write about Morpheus, his conflict with the Agents in general, his faith in Neo, and Neo's determination to rescue Morpheus despite his own self-doubt. I would also write about Trinity's courage, and her trust in Neo's plan despite the tragic death of nearly her entire crew.
Keanu reeves....emotions. uh maybe pick a different character or even a piece of the set anon

Is this an absolute fucking joke?
>He plays a "determined driver" in a movie called "Rules Don't Apply"
HOLLYWOOD THE FUCKING MADMAN
>>70818112
Matthew "Mashed Potatoes" Broderick
What was his problem anyway?
He was a larger than average person
he was just an edgy faggot who wanted to be like the cool bad guys from the movies.
Fuck baneee
I'm attending film school next year and it's like to be prepared. What would you say are essential movies to watch to understand cinema?
I would recommend not going to film school.
>>70817863
It's more of a trade school, actually. Really focused on production and getting students jobs. I'll probably end up doing color correction or some shit. I just want to be knowledgeable.
Watch Die Hard as many times as possible.
It'll be on all the tests.
Why did people hate this movie again?
Apart from maybe not being feminine enough for general audiences? This was a perfect man's movie. Like pretty much every movie Mann has made.
>>70817453
>johnny depp
>man movie
Pick one
I saw this back when it came out so I'm a little fuzzy on it but IIRC:
meandering plot with no stakes that drags on
characters that you aren't made to care about
too much important plot and action happen off screen only for us to be told about it (the breakout scene) or catch the end of it. Think this was just after mission impossible 3 did it with the heist that the camera stays in the car with the support team and it doesn't work because there's no novelty to it.
>perfect man's movie
i'm sorry i don't associate being a man with low quality.
It may be long past its heyday, but Japan used to produce some pure kinography.

Wolf Children was shit.
>that shitty anime drama
Top kek.
Why didn't normalfags care about it until the HBO show?
>>70817158
Because no one knew it existed
>>70817158
kill yourself
>>70817195
Even though it was decently popular?
find a flaw
THERE ISN'T ONE BROTHER. NOW COME OVER HERE BROTHER AND LET ME KISS YOU ON YOUR CHEEK REALLY CLOSE TO YOUR LIPSTRUST ME BROTHER
Too much hugging
The ending. Seriously. It was near perfect until that sanctimonious, conflated, religiously charged ending where it compared Jax to Jesus. He was a murderer, a terrible and conflicted man just like the rest of them; yet he gets "put on the cross" while they all get away scot free. For a show so remarkable with its symbolism the last scene with the bread and wine just felt shoehorned and made no sense at all.
TLDR; It should have ended with a bloodbath like Hamlet, instead of some bullshit about comparing Jax to Jesus Christ.

as a fan of the games it's a solid 8/10
don't know how much i'd like it if i hadn't grown up playing WC3 and WoW, but the 6 people i saw it with all liked it, and most of them hadn't ever played the games.
>>70816952
I have never played the game. Will I like it? What about if I bring my family? Would I be putting them thru torture?
Looks like a decent fantasy movie
>>70816995
i don't know, dude. do they like action/fantasy movies? if so, they'll probably enjoy it.
