>What is the most bizarre natural place you've visited?
The Burren in Ireland (and the aran islands) are pretty odd places on earth. That glacial push and receding made some weird geology for sure. I found the little lichen and flowers in the cracks pretty beautiful too. Had a sore throat from the cold salt air in Aran Islands, and guide doing our horse buggy, jumped out and cut off some stalks of wild garlickly grass, which I chewed on, and my throat miraculously soothed the rest of the day. :o
I enjoyed the diverging continental split of Thingvellir, but most of all the geysir Strokkur in Iceland, watching several iterations of the eruption, and found the whole tourist experience nearby bizarre and surreal, from the wrestling statue to the highend ski gear shop.

Wrong pic, I meant to show the (completely not natural) wrestling statue that seemed so out of place near the geysirs.
The massive cenote at chichen itza was pretty trippy. Just imagining them throwing people and gold into it as sacrifices.

Syri i Kalter, Albania. Nobody knows how deep that place is actually.
I was going to say the burial mounds, in Bahrain, but I guess that isn't natural

So I guess I will go with Tree of Life in Bahrain
earth only, or does anywhere count?

According to WIkipedia, 8 of the 12 astronauts who walked on the Moon are still alive. But it seems unlikely that any of them browse 4chan.

I had never thought about this before, but now I'm sad about it.
Those guys are all awesome.
>>966829
I see what you did there

iceland. there's no plants or trees anywhere except for like 2 "forests" and some imported lupin that went crazy
Posting a few, can't really decide.

Quite sure you can boil eggs in the water of this stream.
Same goes for previous pic.

Need sulphur?
In short, NZ is full of strange shit.
>>967051
Glacier suspended above lush forests? Nothing special, half of the country's glaciers fit into this category.

Earth.

How cool is Petra and Jordan in general?
>>967371
pretty amazing I was there last year for two weeks
Amman, Petra, Rumm,Karnak, dead sea and Aqaba.
The food was great I rented a car too was easy, It wasnt cheap, especially in Aqaba where I stayed at a pretty ritzy resort hotel on the beach. I've been to Morocco, Egypt, UAE to provide some comparison to some other "middle east" countries (inb4 geographical autism) and Jordan surpassed them in every respect.

Maybe call me ignorant, but how safe is it to rent a car and drive through Jordan?
>>966951
Closeenough.

Galapagos Islands. The really diverse wildlife that varies like it does from Island to Island and does not give a rat's ass that you are thee was interesting, the geology was dramatic, the seas beautiful... 10/10, would bankrupt self again for the experience.
Honorable mentions: Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone and Iceland's south coast.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're saying it isn't natural you're technically correct. It started with drilling in the 60's but the crazy colors are from minerals in the ground that were brought up as the geyser started to flow.
Iceland or New Zealand
