Best European country to study abroad for Southern American?

I'm really into outdoors and reading. I'd prefer the demographic to be reflective of the country. I want it to be a chilly climate and to have a fun night life as well.

I'm currently thinking Switzerland, Austria and I would like maybe Norway or Finland but it seems expensive.

Can you guys help me out please?

Good luck with being a South American and somehow getting into Switzerland

Southern American as in Southern United States. I should have thought that through more.

I'm from switzerland.

1. It's pretty expensive I would say you look at costs of living of 1400-2000CHF per month even if you go for a student dorm or shared flat.
(about 450 rent, 100 public transport, 200 mandatory health care insurance and 800 for food/activities)
Food prices: one of the large chains delivery serivce. Prices are the same as in the supermarket.

2. Make sure you meet the admission requirements if it's not just a student exchange.

and specific for the USA:

3. Nightlife is good in the larger cities, outdoor is absolutely awesome but can be expensive, Switzerland is a mix of once across europe the unifier is we do things the swiss way and we enjoy life the swiss way.

my school has a very good student exchange program and would probably cover the expenses of health insurance and maybe some more after that. Is it more expensive then the more mainstream locations like Madrid, Paris, and London?

Spain or Italy, culture wise. Since you want cold, I'd say Norway.

Oh okay if it's just for a excahnge to start it's pretty easy.
The costs of living depend where you live/go to uni.

Zurich is literally more expensive than NY.

Finfag here.
Depends what you want to study. In Finland the education is free, and if you are planning to make your whole degree BA / MA you can probably get money for it - allowance + loan. Not sure how it goes right now for foreigns, but for Finnish it's like 400 + 500 e I think. Definitely cheapest country out of the three (lived in all three).
I would recommend on choosing based on the school, instead of the country. At the moment UK is the only country where studying is expensive (in EU level).

Def more expensive. Way more. London is also expensive. Norway + Swiss + London easy most expensive places in EU. Madrid is pretty cheap, Paris is tolerable.

Is Switzerland the best /out/ country for the price?
