honeymoon in december, we scored cheap tickets $300 from ny to paris and $450 from amsterdam to LA. Now the question is we have two weeks, what are some ideal routes around europe via rail and air? We are thinking paris-zurich-venice-prauge-amsterdam via rail and plane. Is it wise to try and get most bang for buck or just focus on a specific area?
All depends on what you're trying to spend. That list is long and travel isn't cheap. You'll spend a few grand just riding to those cities you listed.
Have you gotten married yet?

Why post if you don't know what you're talking about?
It would be a few hundred at most by train

How much are you looking to spend

Since we got the tickets super cheap there and back we can spend more inside europe, probably $1500 would be nice for mix of train and air.

Train is often faster than air if you use high speed rail like Thayls, TGV, ICE etc.

Couple of quick thoughts -
On a honeymoon you probably have other things on your mind than long periods spent on a train - so even though Europe is tempting and there is lots to see reducing the itinerary to must sees would be wise.
Also December in the places you list will be fairly cold and probably wet. Probably not feet of snow cold but definately hat, glove and coat weather. So depending on taste museums and indoor sights rather than country walks would be more appropriate.
