I have no idea how public transport works in the US, but apparently there's a bus from DC to New York that I can take. Supposing I've landed at Dulles and it's like 4:30pm, does anyone know exactly how I can get from there to central park before 2am? Money's not a huge issue but I'd prefer to keep it under $50
pls help, I'm super retarded

Will I be able to rock up on the night to catch the bus, or should I book in advance? How popular do you think the service would be?
If the bus isn't fast enough or you just want a comfier mode of transit, you can find train tickets for under $50 if you book enough in advance, plus the train takes less than 3 hours and drops you off smack dab in Manhattan at Penn station where you can transfer to various subway lines.

There is an airport bus from Dulles to Wiehle-Reston East Metro station to DC. There will be trackwork on this line at June 2016 so go to wmata.com/safetrack for info. There are also shared van services to DC.
