Very South Berkeley, but will be in Oakland most of my time. Like 6 blocks north of Ashby BART station.

what kind of music do you like? new parish can be fun. oakland has tons of metal shows, actually lots of shows in general. the oakland hills are actually good for hiking, with the redwoods and views of the bay.

oakland definitely has interesting people and good asian food. go out, go to bars or fucking whatever, lake merrit is pretty cool especially when the weather is good, lots of people hanging out and qt's. people are pretty friendly.

Battambang - Cambodian restaurant. Really good fried crab rice and papaya salad.
Burma Superstar - Burmese restaurant. Get the samusa soup.
