I never see these on this board and I feel like it should definitely be a part of the board. If anyone has any helpful links regarding the subject please post them. Eventually we can make a paste bin.
This should be a pretty slow thread but a hopefully a very helpful one.
Feel free to post any luggage questions!
What is a good, durable back pack to bring on board a plane? I'm leaving the country for a few months and would like something super nice to bring in board. Good for electronics and such.
Any recommendations?

5.11 Rush 12
really good backpack which you can carry on every plane, even low budget. For few month i think its pretty small exept you want to travel really minimalistic
Rush 24 and 72 are bigger but you cant carry them on every plane...
Ful
massive capacity in two main and two secondary sections
very good rollers
strong stitching and tough fabric
$40 at costco (usa)
I bought three and use them all the time with total satisfaction

Is OPs pic in Miami? You don't see many folks checking LV hardsides anymore uncovered like that, or maybe that's a carryon size with no wheels there, dunno. Silliness.
My favorite bags now are Travelpro flight crew lines carryon spinners for parking the smaller carryon together on top, and no wear and tear on my shoulders and back between the concourses. For luxury I revert to some older Hartmanns, such as a suitbag and checked, maybe a Delsey. I don't like hardsides AT ALL.
