Anyone down?? Of course you are who doesn't like these
I have seen a lot of the deep south but not much else
>>1107071
I'm so sorry
>>1107070
where's alaska and hawaii pleb
>>1107244
Hawaii is in the Pacific Ocean, and Alaska lies to the northwest of Canada :^)
>>1107225
>HERP DERP everything in the South is bad/evil, etc.
Y'all can kiss my ass.
Like a boss
>>1107372
I can't even begin to surmise where youre from
New York and New Orleans seem like the best guesses but that's so many fucking places you've been
>>1107378
Excellent guess. I'm from south Louisiana but I lived in New York for a few years.
This is from the last few years. I've been to most of the states on the east coast, but traveled there when I was young enough that I'm not even going to bother trying to guess counties.
>>1107444
Pretty embarrassed about this, by the way. I've traveled to a few dozen countries but hardly ever leave my own state.
>>1107070
I couldn't possibly remember all the counties I've been to
>>1107588
I just guess. I'm not a big fan of these "Real Traveler" state and county maps, though, because you just end up making rough estimates as to where you've been.
fun fact: here in Louisiana they're called parishes so I had no idea what y'all were talking about for a second there
>>1107759
There's no way you could not have picked up on that if you lived in the US all your life unless you're literally from the swamp
>>1107770
I've heard of them but it just took me a second when I read the thread.
>>1107759
I'm also from Louisiana and while I am well aware that most of the country uses counties it took me a while to get used to it
The word "county" sounds so informal and backwards. "Parish" may have religious roots but it sounds more proper to designate a small area of governance
>>1107807
"county" makes me think of like a small kansas town calling a local petty theft into county court
So have 3 Louisiana natives posted pics in this thread? It seems like it. Oddly coincidental. I'm this guy: >>1107372
Diversifying this thread slightly from the Cajun party that it is right now.
>>1108243
Why did you go only to St. Bernard Parish in Louisiana
It's just poor white trash and swamps; moreover, there's no way to even get there without visiting other parishes
Did you arrive by boat? Lol
>>1108355
He probably thought that was NO. This is what happens when we use Le Real Traveler County Map.
>>1108425
>thought that was NO
Yep. I was trying to figure out all the spots I've flown into. Oregon, Georgia, and Utah might be wrong too. County lines are not easy to figure out.
Colorado here.
Live in Wichita, from Mpls.
Wisconsin/Chicago here.
Traveled a good portion of Wisconsin's backroads and hiked as many places as possible. Hoping to hit northern Minnesota soon. Also hiked CO and NM a lot, love NM.
LINE IN Wichita AS WELL. SMALL WORLD. 135 AND PAWNEEE HERE
>>1107372
looks like your poor and drive a lot... its sad.
>>1107372
Where's your favorite place you've been? I really wanna see New Hampshire and hike white mountains
>>1109249
Is there anything cool in Kansas? I took back roads through it, and my mouth was just hanging open the entire time. I've never seen landscape so barren, flat and truly empty. It was like a piece of minimalist abstract art.
Also, when i actually drove through a town, it was like two roads and a gas station. I wanna go back and do photography.
Mapped the past decade. Not as much as I would have hoped for :/
>>1109428
>lives in Michigan
>doesn't go to UP
>doesn't go to northern Wisconsin
>doesn't go to door county
Bruh
Lived/live at green. In the Navy.
>>1109409
Probably the national parks of Utah and California. I visit cities and such on my trips as well, but I find nature much more interesting than urban environments. I also really enjoyed a trip to Fairbanks in mid winter, checking out the northern lights and going to Chena hot springs. Very different environment than where I'm from, to say the least.
I´m Truck Driver
>>1109410
Not really. Since I moved here I've been working to get around the state on weekends and using the "8 Wonders of Kansas" as a list of things to see. Honestly though, there is nothing in this state.
>>1109249
/westside/ here.
>>1111088
What kind of trucking?
I'm sure there's more but this is all that I could definitely remember visiting. Bonus points if you can guess where I'm from.
>>1109480
>NAS Whiting Field
What do you do?
>>1107071
So you're from NOLA?
>>1112311
You live in The Woodlands?
>>1112311
My guesses are Montgomery Alabama or north Florida
>>1112313
Yes, although now I am in college in Texas. Hoping to see much more of Texas this summer cuz I'll be working here and have a lot of free time. Wish I could see more of the mountains in the western USA but I'm still a young lad and I'll be able to travel when I start working and therefore have disposable income
>>1107070
Yuropoor here; have only been to US once and spent 90% of my time gaping up at the skysrapers of NYC...
pls no bully.
>>1112925
Traveling to the US and not visiting anywhere out west should be grounds for passport revocation
>>1112936
I'm not as rich as some of you mate; I just happended to have an uncle living in Rye (near NYC) who invited me over.
>>1107372
>the road between clovis and roswell
You'll never get that part of your life back
>>1113074
True, but strangely I'd prefer that over west Kansas/east Colorado.
I really need to see the East coast and the south. But West is Best.
Slight edit to >>1113639
forever est here.
did not include places which i simply drove through, only those I actually spent time at.
>>1113641
Hi fellow DFW bro
What brought you to U of I? (I assume the only reason to fly into that part of Illinois)
really embarrassing desu, but to be fair my mom was really travel-averse and we really only went to maine if we were going to "vacation" at all. man i really need to get a drivers license.
>>1114391

'Bama here.
Made it a point a few years ago to visit every county in Iowa
Lifelong resident of Tallahassee here.
Not pictured: The Alaskan boroughs of Anchorage, Mat-Su, and Denali.
I've deleted and reposted this image twice because I forgot I went to Union (FL) and Seminole Counties in middle and high school for football and crew, respectively.
It's a weird feel living in a country as big as America and realizing how little you've seen of it. Many of us haven't even been to the opposite East/West coast from the one they were born on. Entire mountain ranges, oceans, deserts, forests and great lakes in our own country we've never laid eyes on.
Countries in Europe are smaller than Texas, just imagine driving or taking the train for 3 hours and being in an entirely different country with its own unique language, history, and culture stretching back thousands of years. I regularly drive an easy 5 hours on the interstate every couple months to travel from where I live in North Florida to my parents house in Central Florida. It takes me that long to barely go halfway across my state, and driving to another region of the country can take up to three days of driving all day.
It's nice having so much space, but Europeans should appreciate and take advantage of the short travel times you have to all of your continents major cities.
There is a fair amount of guesswork going on here
Iowa Anon here. We took a lot of road trips when I was a kid because I had family in Florida, SC, Indiana, Michigan, and Maine. This is the best reconstruction I can make of our routes without consulting an atlas.
I've lived a lot of places
>>1117327
How was East Oregon/west Idaho
Seems like one of the most obscure regions in the whole country, whats going on there
