Because I absolutely love Asia.
I'd spend another three months in South America. Everything else is a week long excursion at best.
On an adventure bike, preferably a Yamaha XT1200Z. 20k for bike + accessories 30k for travel expenses visas/food/gas/oil. Probably couldn't make it all the way with that budget but that just adds to the adventure.
If I had the funds, I wouldn't do it, my dog would miss me. I'd pull that shit off in 3 weeks max, I've done worse.
A few years ago I created an excel spreadsheet with a RTW trip I was planning which was going to run for 446 days. My estimated costs came up at $24,680 + cost of flights which I estimated at around $3000. At that time I only had about $40k saved up, now I have over $100k and I'm setting off for Australia in September for a work holiday for a couple of years. I never went through with the RTW trip and now I intend to do it differently by traveling and working as I go along, much slower than I previously planned on.
Still it's kinda interesting to think what could have been. As the estimated dates of where I would have been kept passing me by I was kinda sad but at the same time I now have a different goal I want to accomplish traveling.

Yeah but I don't want to use it all up on travel so I'm going to try to fund my travels as much as possible by picking up jobs on the way. After I'm done I want to use some of that money to buy a small place somewhere so I can die in peace.
