let's do this
which places you have been to or lived /trv? and where do you go next?
>>1077409
how was china?
>>1077410
phenomenal. cold (january, -20 f with windchill at the great wall). lightbulb in mao's head was kinda weird. went way back in '03. i'm 6' and my wife is blond and we were treated like fucking movie stars. bet it'd wouldn't be as grand now.
>>1077409
where did u go in finland? I lived in tampere for a year.
>>1077412
helsinki. had a day there on the way back from russia. nice, but kinda boring. also cold (february).
you in a good part of turkey, or a war part of turkey? i'd like to get there at some point.
>>1077415
the conflict is mostly confined to two or three cities near the syrian/iraqi border where kurds live. I live in Istanbul so here is pretty much like the %90 of the country business as usual.
helsinki is a pretty boring city I agree. I been there a few times and always felt bored and it was like lifeless...like with no soul. pretty neat and organized though.
visit istanbul in may and then continue to antalya or bodrum or marmaris in the south.
Went a little crazy on "next destination", but those are all places I'd like to go or may end up going. I haven't been able to travel in 8 years :( but should be able to this year. The most likely destinations are Canada (short, easy visit (I'm currently preparing to move from California to Pennsylvania)), Vietnam (dad is living there teaching English), and Venezuela (have a friend there, but tickets are very expensive).
>>1077422
oops dumb
No idea which one is next
I need to go to Luxembourg to finally see all the Euro countries bordering France
>Home: Slovenia
>Now live: Malta
>Next destination: Florida in late April/ beginning of May, Tanzania and Iceland in summer and Istanbul sometime in autumn
Mostly just stuck around SEA due to being poor. Also been to New Zealand a bunch of times but this racist map doesn't even have it.

>tfw poor eurofag

impressive
for work?
first time traveling abroad with friends this year. Going to Prague, Warsaw, Budapest
Not counting airports or places I have just driven through.
pretty good for 18 an year old i guess. thinking of going interrail next summer
I have to use the old template this one doesn't even show jamaica
Next will just be different parts of Texas but I plan on doing a USA road trip in the next few years. If no one else I know wants to I will eventually just take off and drive wherever I feel like for a week or two
>>1077406
What's with this piece of shit map?
I've got a question related to maps like these.
Is it fair to count Wales and Scotland as individual countries, but not basque and Catalonia?
>>1077459
what's the best country in Africa?
>>1077406
THANK YOU FOR EXCLUDING NEW ZEALAND
>>1077514
Literally who ? Always thought it was a Middle-Earth region
>>1077499
the fact that the UK isn't broken up like literally every other country in the world is triggering me
Currently living in Germany, any suggestions for another two week holiday at some point in autumn?
Hardmode: return flights less than 500€, destination outside of europe, no visa required for AUS or EU citizens, new cuntry.
I really wanna see Europe, and i will in a year or two.
I also didnt expect Turkish people to be here c:
Not certain about next trip - but of the longer distance destinations Iran (subject them allowing us Brits independent travel there) and Japan are ahead. Should get to more bits of Europe I've not seen.
Lived in Thailand for 6+ years. Going to get me some Zica virus in March in Panama and Costa Rica. I will spend the summer in Thailand, might hit Vietnam or Laos again as well.
>>1077564
Georgia should be feasible, maybe Uzbekistan.
In both cases transiting via Istanbul,in the first case on Pegasus, on the latter case on Turkish Airlines would probably work. Both well worth it, in entirely different ways.
>>1077602
Sorry - of these two only Georgia qualifies on the "No visa required" rule. (Armenia does too, though) In Central Asia Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan both slip in, but they don't have the sights of Uzbekistan, which is bureaucracy-heavy
>>1077564
Israel / West Bank
Was there in September, was epic as long as you disconnect yourself from the conflict.
>>1077564
I'd definitely recommend Georgia, and also Lebanon.
>>1077564
compton, usa
I haven't been any-fucking-where...
>>1077499
r8?
I'm moving to spain in october but before then I'm planning an interrail trip for the summer
Green are places I have certain plans of visiting this year.
>>1077672
Oh man you went to the exact same parts of Arabia I did...the few accessible parts haha
How did you like Muscat, although going in summer left little to do as a tourist, it was the only place that felt like old world Arabia and its just a gorgeous place
> mfw no friends to travel with
>>1077690
How was South Korea?
ALL OF IT
>>1077406
I've only travelled around Europe (and Morocco) so here's a map of that. (Although actually I've been to the Canary Islands too but whatever)
I coloured Corsica because I've been there - I didn't colour Sardinia, despite it being Italy, because I've not been there. Also I have been to Sicily so that also got coloured.
As for next destination, I'd like to go to Thailand. No not to fuck ladyboys. Just because it would be cool to go to another part of the world, and it's cheap to get to, and it's cheap to feed yourself there.
Ruble is cheap now.
>>1077457
New Zealand are people too
I accidentally Russia, but you get the idea
Welp
>>1077406
I had only been to Dublin and Newgrange, Ireland, Edinburgh, Scotland and Voss, Norway until last year
Now I've got a decent job I've started travelling more
Last year I went to:
Turkey: Istanbul
Italy: Rome, Pisa and Pompeii
Vatican City
Belgium: Antwerp
Germany: Aachen
Netherlands: Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zaanse Schans/Zaandam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Leiden and Delft
This month I'm going to Tel-Aviv, Haifa, Acre and Jerusalem in Israel; Bethlehem in Palestine and Amman and Petra in Jordan
>tfw my Canadian city has few direct international flights
>tfw takes 24 hours of travel to get to pretty much any other country except USA
>>1077406
I've actually only been to Hong Kong, so this is a bit misleading.
>>1077406
feels bad man
I want to go pretty much everywhere. However, maybe someone can tell me why I'd want to go to the Sahara, the artic, or Kazakhstan?
Looking at this map, I've been to ~30 countries and I've still hardly been anywhere.
>>1077406
Going to Portugal and Spain this summer
>>1078212
Going for either Uruguay or Japan this summer to improve my speech

You fuckers all forgot alaska when highlighting america
and half of you are american.
>>1078435
I didn't colour Alaska because I've never been there.
>>1078435
I prioritized getting Crimea right.
>>1078728
Just noticed it's a different kind of map but you all get the idea nevertheless.
I've also been to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, but they're too small for the template, along with Palau, one of my next destinations.
>Speaking of Palau
OK. What's the best place to fly into Koror from, this upcoming winter I'll be in Thailand/Philippines, and the best price I've seen on flights from Manila to Koror is $750ish. I plan on going to Japan in April 2018, and flights from Tokyo to Koror are $850ish.
Do deals get any better than that? I really want to swim with jellyfish but DAMN that's a lot to spend to go to a place that only interests me for one thing.
>>1078744
What did you like about Kenya?
Y'all mofos are forgetting all the territories of the countries you went to.
>>1078821
>Syria, Iraq
whats the reason for those being green?
Home NH
Lived in ME for a while
>>1077406
You guys should see more of Africa
>>1078951
I was debating on going to Cape Town, Kenya/Tanzania or Morocco in May instead of Easter Island/Santiago but idk. Maybe in 2017
>>1077406
>>1077782
was only in Seoul. was pretty nice, would go again someday.
>>1077406
Shamefully only been to Buffalo
>>1078952
Easter Island is unusual and extravagant, I would choose that
>>1078951
Color me jealous, Hansel.
What do you do for a living where you can live abroad so often? I'm particularly interested in the Philippines and Thailand.
>>1079002
Do yourself a favor, fellow Canuck, and take advantage of dirt cheap US gas prices to take a US road trip this spring/summer.
>>1077507
yes
>>1077406
Man... all those Pacific Islands need to be accounted for!
>>1078435
Fuck me. I coloured Canada and didn't paint Baffin.
But WTF? That's alright I've never been there.

Posting detailed map here

Probbably going to study in NZ during my bachelor, with some kind of exchange program

Enjoy your ban
I've become a bit of a travel addict in the last couple of years; pretty much all of this on the map has been done since the start of 2014.
I'm British, but Italian-born. I didn't put lived in Italy as I moved over when I was still a baby, so it doesn't really count. I did however live/study in France for about 6 months.
Next stops:
Never actually been to the Republic of Ireland, so that'll be a nice long weekend at one point.
I'd love to go to Lisbon or Algarve, so Portugal is on my list. I hoped to do a day in Lisbon while I was staying in Madrid but they only had overnight trains between the two.
Toronto > Niagra > Boston is the 'big one' for this year, if all goes well.
next up:
Lisbon from Feb 16-Feb23.
Riga / Vilnius in April
C A I R O in May. (Hope I don't get lynched)
