Cheap/free way, proof of onward travel?

Hey guys,

Flying into Bangkok Feb 2, leaving March 17. (from US)

My return flight is outside of the 30 day visa free window.

I am planning on checking out Cambodia, and possibly Laos (and re-setting my visa time) but I want to just buy a bus/rail ticket in country whenever I get bored with Thailand.

I can vaguely remember a thread on this board in which someone posted a pdf/info graphic on how to create a "ticket" which satisfies the Thai proof of forward travel requirement.

Any of you real travelers™ know what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

anybody?

Just edit an existing boarding pass that you have. Use a real flight number and time.

If you are from a rich white country the odds of Thai immigration asking for proof of onward travel are close to zero though.

Photoshop.
Or just edit the HTML in firefox and print it.

Most likely, it wouldn't be a problem anyway.

Here's how I got into Japan

>walk into travel agency
>say I want to go to thailand with a stopover in Tokyo
>ask for cheapest fare
>hmm could I see the itinerary?
>Im not sure, could I keep a printout of the itinerary to do some comparison shopping?
>I'll be back in a day or 2 to book, I swear

I booked my round trip through Orbitz and they emailed me a "e-ticket" but not a traditional boarding pass.

I know the odds of them asking are low, but I don't want to take a chance with the airline not letting me board in SF.

Yeah, lie to people who see dozens of tickets every day, surely they will have seen nothing like your forgery before, and they probably have not even got a computer or phone or anything, so they will be unable to communicate with the airline to verify anything.

His second sentence is correct enough, the first is really foolish advice.

If I were to go legit, what's the cheapest proof of forward travel they would accept? Does it have to be an airline or would a train/bus pass be adequate?
>>
>>1071573
If you're from a western country they literally will not care. I showed them my itinerary when entering Panama as apparently you need it to enter the country and none of them spoke a lick of English so they just looked at my piece of paper and let me through. Same shit will happen in Thailand. If you're from a less wealthy country you might have to get more legit flight info.

This but do it online and go 90% of the way through without paying for it. A lot of 'final confirmation' steps look like a booking. Print the page.

But really, just take the one that OP actually bought and edit the html to change the source/destination and travel date. Job done.

You already have one. Use the stuff you already have and do this: >>1071611
