I'm planning an Eastcoast trip this summer but i only have a few days. I'm visiting NYC first but not sure if I should go to Boston or Phily/D.C. Any thoughts?
>but i only have a few days.
Spend a day or two in NYC, a day or two in the Lehigh Valley and a day or two in Philly.
NYC has countless things to do at any time.
The Lehigh Valley has amazing and cheap shopping (And Dorney Park if you like theme parks) and Philly has all sorts of stuff to do as well.
This way, you won't be killing your whole trip traveling. It's only about 1 or 2 hours from any of those places to the other

I'm stuck in NYC for a music festival, I'm planning on doing some site seeing during the day. So you don't recommend Boston?

Boston is awesome, but it's 4 hours away from NYC.
It really depends what you're interested in doing and how far you're willing travel. Can you give us more info so we can help you better? How long are you staying on the East Coast?

DC has lots of free museums (Smithsonian). I would do NYC then take a megabus/bolt bus down to DC. Boston and Philly are sort of at the same tier. You should at some point check them out.

The museums in DC are good, and being free really helps, but iirc there's at least a couple that have been closed recently, so you should check to make sure what you want to see is open. Honestly, I've had more fun exploring baltimore than I have walking around the district, but I may have a bit of a bias. Also, I would suggest boston instead, it's got plenty to do, and to see, great city
