So guys, I just finished biking from Nova Scotia to Vancouver in Canada and while on the road my drivers license and health card expired. I called the airline and they said it won't be possible to fly back home to ns with expired id. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this issue? Will they usually even check if it's expired? Tldr can I board a domestic flight with nothing but a expired dl and health card?

I don't have a passport. These are my only official documents.
