I'm going on vacations to Cancun tomorrow. I have already planned to go to Chichen Itza and Tulum as the highlight of my trip, and I'm staying at the Grand Parnassus hotel. I'll be over there for about 6 days, which isn't that much, but I'd like to make my trip a little bit more exciting... Any tips?
While I have an interest in Mexican items, I'm also interested in shopping for American merchandise while I'm there, since the dollar is so high importing anything to Latin America's become a bitch, and Cancun is supposed to be duty free. If anyone knows where I could find a good imports shop, I'd be more than grateful.

sorry to burst your bubble but Cancun is mainly about chilling on the beach while drinking, pigging out at the hotel buffet and going out to night clubs

Tulum Ruin stores are expensive as fuck so if you wanna save some money don't even buy shit, and don't do snorkel in tulum, Sian ka'aan could be a nice option, I'd recommend Isla mujeres for snorkeling, and some Xenotes, maybe Xplor or Xcaret

islas mujeres, take the ferry from punta sam, is 40 pesos while the one at puerto juarez is like 200 or 300, there is only one hostel at islas, is call puk na, i think, its very nice.

Si es posible, pero mas depende en el contexto. Puede ser offensivo, si estas haciendo algo estupido o alguien tiene malas intenciones para ti.
Yo soy estadounidense con los ojos azules y viajo por mexico con mucha frequencia. Con amigos y compañeros de ellos es mas común, y me gusta mas, para ellos a llamarme Güero.
En mexico es muy muy común a referir a la gente como se ve. Conozco muchos mexicanos que se llaman guero, gringo, gorda, negro, etc. Y ellos son de mexico.
Por ejemplo, una vecina de mi novia tiene el nombre "doña gringa," y ella es mas mexicana que nadie, y solo un poquito menos morena que otras personas. Pero todos le llaman eso.
