and by 'weaving' I don't mean absorb, I mean just "holding" the gun so we can use shield and gun at the same time
You draw your weapon. It highlights in your HUD for a moment before a solid line appears from the barrel. Several objects, banners, trees, shrubs highlight and information starts to compile as the bar curves just slightly to the side and downward.
"We're combat ready!" P3N1 chimes off in your helmet.
You move the firearm around some to see how things change. You notice that the bar from the gun bounces off of certain objects into what looks like a fan. Penny must not have enough power to process ricochet as well.
"You want to shoot at Jill, right?" Penny doesn't seem to be waiting for your confirmation, just idly chatting.
Jill starts to highlight, but it seems Penny is having difficulty tracking her arms. So are you to be honest.
Mel seems to be keeping up enough, though she's playing entirely on the defensive. The bracers on her arms are sparking each time you assume she glances an impact.
You take aim. Honestly, if you're aiming for center, neither of them are actually moving that much.
You fire several times, keeping a close eye on the bar and its relation to Jill rather than any shooting ability.
Mel has apparently taken the change in pace to her advantage, wrapping both of her arms around Jill's swordarm.
"Let... Let go!"
You don't notice any reaction to the bullets, but it seems to have changed things quite a bit.
Mel is lifted up with Jill's arm and shaken violently for a moment before the dog-girl's legs lock against Jill's waist. Jill's own strength throws the two of them onto the ground.
